The store is big compared to other restaurants at Filinvest Mall but the tables and chairs are quite cramped and makes it bothersome to leave the table without disturbing the diners beside ours.
There's a usual wait during lunch hour but this is compensated with complimentary freshly cooked and fish crackers while you wait. Menu was provided while we were waiting and the usher communicated our advance order while we were waiting for our table to be ready.
We were a group of 5 adults and we availed the group meal A & B, each supposedly sufficient for 3 meals each.
Food came in freshly cooked and superb, except for the chopseuy that came quite late and wasn't well seasoned, and the lechon Macao, which we found too fatty where meat to far ratio is concerned.
The yangchow fried rice, lemon chicken, fried wonton dumplings were good, but we all agreed the stir-fried string beans with minced pork was surprisingly our favorite!!! yum, yum, yum!!!!
Our meal came with 2 drinks for sharing served on a carafe --- each carafe was sufficient for 3pax indeed and it had way too many ice than drinks. We chose the lemonade and the iced tea but next time, we will order lemonade only since it's refreshing but not too sour nor too sweet.
Our bill rang up to almost P1900. Overall, it was a delightful meal we'd gladly eat again next time we find ourselves at...
Read moreI give the low star rating because pretty much everything was below quality. We ordered 2 Solo Bowls, Beef & Broccoli and Lemon Chicken. Though the beef & broccoli tasted good, it was served over rice that came from the bottom of the rice cooker and was seriously, hard as a rock.
The Lemon Chicken's batter wasn't fully cooked as the batter near the chicken was still wet, yet the rice was better. We also ordered the Lechon Macaou which was pain stakenly dry and the skin was like shoe leather.
When the bill arrived, the waitress handed me the bill and I said, I'll review the bill, letting her know to come back. She stood there staring, being very annoying, as if to say, let's hurry up. As I was looking over the bill, maybe like 20 seconds, she came closer, reached for the bill, took her pen and underlined the receipt amount and said, this is your total amount. I told her, I can read perfectly and I felt like she was assuming I'm so old, that I need to see where the amount was. I was actually embarresed she treated me this way. When I paid the bill, she came back with approximately P150 in small P5 coins. What busy restaurant doesn't have appropriate change to give their customers?
This restaurant needs some serious changes in their quality of food and better training of...
Read moreAll that we ordered taste very good except for the 4pcs siomai, may umay factor. Perhaps due to its size a bit larger compared to other common siomai. The price is fair and worth it. Two meals that we ordered was served too late, partly its our fault those were additional orders. Make sure you order everything one time and no additional orders. We were already full when it was served so just have it packed to go. Service crews were friendly, though I observed they seem disorganized, perhaps its because its Sunday lunch and packed with people. The place was so noisy like in a food court. The supervisor does not focus on customer's tables we have to constantly call crews attention for what's lacking in our order. Our bottomless iced tea was not served while we dine, and it also arrived late after we were done. It only means no one was paying attention to our table. Instead of giving 3-stars, I give 4-stars because these issues can be addressed. Also this restaurant is a safe bet as they generally do not disappoint if you have guests to treat. I've gone to other places that are too expensive but when trying their food...
