Botejyu Newport Mall — Restaurant in Pasay

Was not approach when we line up on their door (waiting area before seated). Manager and severs saw us but no one came to us for about 5mins. People just coming in and was not aware to line before coming inside. 2pax was entertained first because they just come inside even though we are the first in line on their waiting area. 6pax beside us that did not also fall in line was entertained and given the available table before us! Very poor service. If only they approach us the minute we fall in line, we won’t be the last to be seated to their available table. Second thing I noticed is on how the lady server take our order, lack of customer service and energy, forgot to tell serving time and when to expect our food to serve. Soda needed to follow up (i think they forgot). We decided to add gyoza and their seattle sushi to the guy server.. he confirms it and repeated it to us. First orders arrived and we were just waiting for the gyoza and sushi. Took it for about 30mins only to find out that the guy server did not punch it to their system/did not give additional orders to their kitchen. So the lady server approach us and told us about what happened BUT DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR MISTAKE. When gyoza and sushi served, the guy did not inform us that the plate and gyoza is very hot! My friend burned her tongue! Very poor service. I am very dissatisfied with the availability of staff, speed of service, and quality of food. Dissatisfied also for the value for money because ramen, tonkotsu set here are just so-so. Their steak bowl was also pricy for a small portion of rice and steak cuts. Will never recommend this...

Our favorite Japanese Resto in Newport!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Botejyu New Port and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meal was absolutely delicious—each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef truly knows how to craft a memorable culinary experience.

What stood out even more was the quality of service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional, ensuring that every need was met promptly. A special mention goes to the manager Ms. Lou, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. Their presence and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

During our visit, one of our party members wasn't feeling well. The care and concern shown by the staff, especially the manager, were heartwarming. They were quick to offer assistance and made sure we were comfortable, which really highlighted their dedication to customer care.

I highly recommend Botejyu Newport to anyone looking for a great meal paired with top-notch service. We will definitely...

Really disappointing experience. I had high hopes considering how flavorful and vibrant Asian food usually is, but this restaurant completely missed the mark. The dishes lacked the depth and taste I’ve come to expect during my stay in Manila, and even on the islands. Everything felt watered down, from the food to the service.

From the moment I walked in, it felt off. There was no warm welcome, and I had to ask twice for a menu while other guests who came in after me were promptly given theirs and had already placed orders.

Things only got worse when the food finally arrived, everything from appetizers to the main course was dumped on the table all at once. And even that took over an hour. I was with a 2-year-old, and waiting that long just for appetizers is unacceptable. Meanwhile, other tables were being served properly, with their meals coming in the right order and on time.

Definitely not worth it. With so many amazing spots in Manila, I’d suggest...
