Bad service! 🚩🚩🚩 I booked tickets online in advance for the 8:15PM showing (it was at 6th row for better viewing) ultra cinema on their website. We arrived early so we waited on their lobby. When we got in the cinema, there were people seating on our seats already. We asked the guard about it and I think it was the one on the cashier who talked to us that they had double booking - their site had an error. She insisted that the ones who are already seated there doesn’t want to move and they already paid. so she gave an option for us to either sit in front or they set up seats at the back or we wait for the 10PM showing. she said that they don’t have anymore choice for us. It was tiring and we just wanted to relax but that’s the service we got. We just sat on the front (it was too close to the screen- too stiff) cause the movie was already starting. Really liked the service - good concept of bbq flavoured popcorn, drinks and water being provided during the film.

The projection is some of the poorest I have ever seen. First, the green overspill from the exit signs, its lazy design. There are cinemas in other parts of the world which have fire exits at the front of the cinema screen and don't have this problem.

The projection is also out of focus, not sure if I observed some dropped frames? maybe the DCP was bad? I also don't think they understand how to set it up re: masking/flat vs scope - some of the trailers/ads were clipped, badly clipped. I watched Thunderbolts* and there were some resolution/quality issues.

Overall, if you want technically low quality screen and go more for the service, its fine. For the money I paid, I go to the cinema to make sure to have the best possible screen - I would skip the...

The first time I was here with my husband I was blown away. We both tried out the ultra cinema and it was my first time and I enjoyed it. The only issue we had was that we couldnt cuddle while watching since there was an armrest standing between us but overall. I loved the quality of their customer service. It was clean, you can tell that it was well maintaned, not crowded at all, and they offer you drinks and popcorns to your liking after you press a call button beside you.
