What I absolutely hated about this theater was that the ushers allowed latecomers to enter the theater without them even attempting to duck or make themselves look inconspicuous. Thus the people who were there on time have to put up with these tardy asses constantly blocking the view of the stage. What they should have done is allow the latecomers to come at the same time during a scene where nothing major is happening yet. I get that for others, watching a play in the theater is just a status symbol but doesn't their lack of BASIC theater etiquettes speak of their ignorance and to stoop down to these people's snobbish way of thinking, "no class"? The theater should abolish its current seating system from orchestra and balcony sections to people who observe punctuality and are actually there for the love of art and people who are just there to show that they can afford the tickets and make rapport with fellow snobbish asshats who also couldn't care less about whatever the hell is going on...

Read moreNewport Performing Arts Theater is one of the newer venues for stage plays in Metro Manila. The theater itself is nice. They have comfortable seats. The airconditioning is enough. You can do away with a coat, specially when its a full house. They have free wifi too.
I just wish they have more toilet stalls on their bathrooms. I suggest you dash to the bathroom during play breaks if you intend to make it back to your seat in 15 mins.
Also, best seats are in the middle. Seats on the sides (specially those located on the first 5-7 rows) dont have the best views.
Since its located in a mall/casino/hotel, restaurants are still open late at night. You can dine after watching the evening performances.
