I want to start off by saying, "Mary Grace is a fall back to food when We can't decide where to eat will eat here never been disappointed until now. I would say a large percentage of people eat with their eyes first, let me explain, "You see something in the menu, and you say wow, that looks delicious. I want to eat that. " Now the waiting time begins, will it come looking like what I saw in menu, will it be hot or cold what the menu said and will the most important thing will it be delicious! My wife and I ordered the value meals that come with a little salad, protein, and dessert of the day. Mine was a small salad with chicken strips on it, a small red bowl of spaghetti topped with a meat sauce and large slice of garlic bread. What was received dried out pasta and a burnt and dry piece of chicken on top of salad. The wife ordered almost the same a lemon and oil pasta, salad with prosciutto meat and a black olive dressing more like paste. We had ordered the Mango cake for 380php, when I did the math, just felt too much money for a piece of cake. It is probably delicious. We settled for dessert of the day sponge cake topped with whip cream and 3 dots of strawberry on plate. What would have been amazing to have a teaspoon of strawberry over the whipped creme. It started out great. we were greeted quickly, seated quickly, and ordered in a reasonable amount of time. Shortly after that, our servers shift must have been done . I never saw him again, maybe give us a server not getting off the clock. About 30ish minutes later came our meal, nothing like we saw in the menu. The thing that amazed me the most when we were sitting down the four tables that had people at were already eating in a restaurant. When our food finally found its way to us, you could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. No surprise, our server had already left for the day. Another person brought our dessert only after waived someone down, another person bussed our table again after waiving down, at not time was more water offered by all of them. I finally walked up front to get more water. Chances of returning to this Mary Grace, probably not. Other ones I will try as food is usually quite good. Here is a thought for the management send servers to tables that are not going home in a few minutes. On a positive note besides the food sitting for a while before serving was still good, it would have been great if served sooner. They got busy after we sat down, and people who sat down after us were getting their food before us. A couple of times, I thought about just leaving. However, since dinner time,...
Read moreI recently visited the Mary Grace restaurant located at Estancia and decided to try their hot chocolate, but I must say I was left thoroughly disappointed. While I have enjoyed their hot chocolate at other branches, the experience at this particular location was nothing short of a letdown.
First and foremost, the hot chocolate at Mary Grace Estancia was far from the rich, creamy, and thick delight I have come to expect from this beloved establishment. It tasted more like a watered-down version of hot cocoa rather than the thick and indulgent treat that I have enjoyed at other branches.
The quality of the hot chocolate was questionable, making me wonder if the chef at this branch was undermining the standards set by other Mary Grace locations. Whether it was an issue with the preparation or the ingredients used, it was clear that the hot chocolate here did not measure up to the standards I had previously experienced at different Mary Grace outlets.
It is worth noting that I have had consistently great experiences at other Mary Grace branches, and I do not wish to generalize this disappointing encounter to their entire chain. It seems that the issue lies specifically with the Estancia branch.
In conclusion, I regret to say that my hot chocolate experience at the Mary Grace Estancia branch was far from satisfying. While other branches have provided me with delightful hot chocolate, this particular location failed to meet those expectations. As a result, I must give this branch a rating of two thumbs down for serving what I can only describe as subpar hot...
