Buddy's always has that fiesta feeling and good food so far. This is my 3rd or 4th buddy's. Staffs are accomodating (i ordered additionals and they happily took my order in advance then pay to their cashier as buddy's have a counter, and to avoid queuing). Food taste so far is almost same (Buddy's candelaria has the freshest food), and ambience is same to their other branches in the metro. We ordered sinigang na salmon sa miso (a must try), fried lumpiang gulay (good but might consider other food), 2 pc fried chicken (I'm expecting their spring chicken, but this is also good, especially the gravy, the chicken is crispy and tasty, worth it), sizzling sisig squid, their habhab of course, and fresh lumpiang ubod (favourite). It's not crowded when we went here, not sure for other days, but they have 2nd floor, so there's enough space I guess. Their comfort room is more like public restroom, so don't expect neat...
Read moreBuddy's Restaurant infrastructure of Novotel Araneta. this was specifically July 14th supper time. We were on vacation with family. we went back and forth to this restaurant as we heard the food was great. one time we were there, my sister in law asked for a hot tea. the girl in the cash said they don't have. but we ordered the same thing the day before. and so she went to the back, she came back and gave the same thing. so my sister in law asked again as my mother in law can't drink cold. so she took and went back again but hesitantly. when she came back she had the hot tea but there was like a bubble on top, which we thought it's a spit. so my mother in law got disgusted and throw it. we should have taken a picture but she threw right away. and what so obvious is everyone were looking at us. this is unacceptable...so if they're upset with a customer they will just spit on...
Read moreWe decided to have lunch at Buddies Araneta, not really knowing what to expect. The place gave off a bit of a Mexican vibe with its interiors and furniture, which was interesting. One of my colleagues recommended their pancit, so with plenty of options on the menu, we went for the Pancit Lucban as part of celebrating a colleague’s birthday.
I personally ordered the pork sisig and lumpiang ubod, and while the dishes weren’t disappointing, I can’t say I was overly impressed either. I haven’t tried their full menu yet, but based on what we had, the taste and quality felt just average—nothing that really stood out. For me, it’s just another Filipino restaurant, and not exactly great value for money.
That said, the day was still enjoyable. At the end of the day, it’s really about the memories shared at the table rather than the...
