I ordered Lengua Estofada (Stewed Ox Tongue). The melt-in-your-mouth lengua was the star of the show. Braised to perfection, it absorbed the rich, savory flavors of the mushroom gravy, creating a delicious dance on the palate. Each bite was a textural delight, with the tender meat contrasting the earthy depths of the gravy.
The generous portion left me comfortably satisfied, perfect for savoring the complex flavors. The dish arrived beautifully presented on a ceramic plate where the tender slices of lengua are bathed in the creamy, aromatic gravy. It also came with a smaller bowl of rice. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.
Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, explaining the dish with enthusiasm, answering questions and graciously assisted in telling the kitchen to skip the chilli flakes on my wife's pasta. The atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly complemented the comforting richness of the dish. The space was a little cramped both inside and outside. I've been to other branches of Conti's and I think they're all a bit cramped. On a positive note, it was an intimate, well-lit dining space that added to the experience. Oh, did mention we also had the all-time favorite Mango Bravo for dessert? There's nothing like an enticing 'I'm coming back' dining experience like capping off a hearty delicious meal with the signature cake creation you can only get at Conti's.
The items on the menu are a bit pricey and slightly higher than average, but the quality of ingredients, generous portion, and overall deliciousness made it feel like a worthwhile splurge.

I ordered a mango tart and it was so frozen when they gave it to me, I could not even stick my fork through it. I sent it back to the kitchen asking they warm it up, but I actually saw them just stick it on a shelf to wait for it to melt. They gave it to me a few minutes later and it was still frozen, so I sent it back again and asked them to actually warm it this time instead. They immediately sent it right back to me without an explanation. I decided to suck it up and try eating it, but the mangoes on top were so cold they hurt my gums.
