Delgado is a quaint restaurant situated at the Quezon City's famous Timog/Tomas Morato area. It's only a few steps away from Tomas Morato Ave. They have transformed one of the oldest houses in QC, which is why you will get an old/elegant spanish style vibe of the place. The food served was a merge of different cuisines, mainly Filipino, Italian, and Spanish.
The writer arrived at around 1:00 PM, just when the lunch rush is at its height. Upon arriving, there were two parking slots available in their place. Take note that the parking slots are only big enough to accommodate a sedan or smaller. If you have an SUV, you can park at the side, and if it is full, you can take your chances at the Tomas Morato Ave. parking. It's only a few steps of walk into Sct. Delgado street. Upon arriving, you will be greeted by a cozy-looking space, think of dark wood, chandeliers, paintings, and even a small piano. There are 4 types of seating: high, regular, couch, and al fresco.
📝 The Food:
This writer really enjoyed the baked half chicken. It is served with mashed potatoes and the writer commends that the potatoes were natural and not powdered. Justifiable for its price point. You also get vegetables spread around the plate for presentation. Veggies were tomatoes and beans.
The spaghetti was Italian style. It's sour to the taste (filipino style is sweeter in comparison) and the meatballs were done a bit like steaks where you get brown outer crust and a pinkish inner crust. It might be unappealing to some children, but it tastes good as well.
The Mussel Chowder was a bit off-putting initially as we were used to clam and potato chowder that's white and creamy. This chowder, however tasted "a bit like curry", as a companion has commented. It certainly had spices attributed to curry and it was a nice new experience.
The Mandarin Chicken Salad was worth a try. This writer wished there were more mandarins though. It's served already tossed with bits of black sesame and asian sauce and fried crispy noodles as garnish. Perfect for 2-4 people.
📝 The Service:
There were no servers waiting by the door when we arrived, probably because it was in the middle of the lunch rush but we were ushered to a table immediately when they have noticed us. We were sitted close to their bar hence, our needs were immediately attended to. They served a complimentary snack while we were waiting for our order. The place was cold despite the crazy summer heat and in the middle of the day. Kudos for that.
📝 The Verdict:
This writer enjoyed the food and service, and would recommend other enthusiasts with a little bit of extra budget to try Delgado.112. The spanish old style ambiance is perfect for intimate occasions such as family gatherings, date nights and anniversaries. For those who are looking for a quiet reception for weddings/baptisms/birthday parties, this writer thinks it's a good place to try to rent out as well. The place is equipped also with separate restrooms for male and female. Think sosy, not busy.
Additional notes: Their alfresco tables are at the back, not at the front. Water is not free, they only serve bottled water. You can order online via QR code if you want to limit contact with their waiters They accept cash, gcash, and card transactions.

Our experience overall was a mix of good and bad.
RESERVING in advance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We waited for over an hour to be seated (the chairs were not comfy btw), whereas people who reserved were already seated immediately.
The food overall was good, although there are certain aspects that need improvement. I appreciate the dried chili served separately for the Thai salad. However, the Tartufo paella was very dry. It is significantly more delicious when served hot, compared to when it's already cool on the plate, so make sure to eat it as quickly as possible. Speaking of the dryness, they do not serve cold water, only bottled water for a price. Their butterbeer was too sweet for me, but it worked well with the rich flavor of the dishes. The soup and pasta were very flavorful, and the salmon wellington has great presentation matching the quality of its taste.
Service needs improvement! It started with the difficulty to find parking. We ended up going around 3 times before we found parking elsewhere. We wish we were guided better at least. While waiting, one of the servers told us we were next, but let 2 or 3 other groups in. Apparently there was confusion. During our meal, sometimes we would ask a question, and the server would answer it but would immediately disappear before we get to order the food related to our inquiry. They are helpful with taking pictures, and they attend faster when it came to payment. When we left, it didn't feel as welcoming as other restaurants (i.e. lack of thanks for coming, or something). From start to end, it's like they didn't really want us. We were casual walk-ins anyway, but we still wish service was better overall.
The ambience is soothing at first. At a certain time, the lights would go out, the candles would light up, and the DJ would start playing music. Several tita from other tables started vibing and dancing, so the mood was great!
Overall, even though the food and ambience were decent, it could make itself better with its service.
Second Visit:
We have a reservation this time. Staff, although busy, attended better to our needs.
During lunch time, there's a pianist playing live music instead of the DJ at night.
Overall experience is better with a reservation. Food still...
Read more2 of our our appetizers were literally served last.
The ginger tea is over priced and it was too sweet for our taste (we were expecting it to be an authentic ginger/Salabat tea or at least Twinnings - but it seemed to be the instant powder form kind or the honey ginger citron concentrate)
Staff Anna was kind and welcoming, she let my 83 year old grandma, my mom and i share a table for two while waiting for our guests to arrive and while waiting for our table to be ready.
No service water. Bottled water is overpriced. Just bring your own.
Only 2-3 car parking. One way Street side parking available.
The majority of our orders were delicious. Except for the 2 kinds of bite size appetizers ( no wonder it was served last)
If we would come back we will order the Crispy pata, filipino paella, paella tartufo and also the Caldereta again. The palabok was ok. But my sister preferred Jollibee palabok 😂
The salads were pretty much ordinary except for the thin slices of steak for topping. But still ok for those who dont eat rice.
The bone marrow sisig was so rich in taste. With umay factor. Still worth trying.
The chicken skin was nothing special but still good if you like chicken skin like me.
The carne de tostadas ok also ok.
Serving time can take a while especially when the place is full. So better decide on what to order while waiting to be seated.
Pls add more aircon units. The restaurant was hot and humid when packed with customers. The current AC units were not enough. The waiting area outside is also hot so pls put air-coolers.
