One of the worst Unlimited Samgyupsal places I've been to. My first time to go this place to check and savour their "must try" claim of the best cheese dip and authentic mozzarella... but unfortunately it will be the last... they have Unlimited Mix P 580.00 with 8 different kinds of meat but on their menu only 6 are listed with only 5 photos. To start of, we were the first table who arrived at 5pm without any other customers, then a group of 4 came in, so it wasn't busy at all, but their staffs were already unattentive to wait on the tables. We started tasting what meat they had to offer for grilling and after about 3 orders we started asking what other meat is available, however the staff we asked was confused about this and didn't have the right knowledge on their meats. So we just ordered again by pointing on the photos available. After our 5th order I again asked the staff and inquired about the other meat that is included in the mix but to our dismay, she just kept pointing on the 5 photos so I asked here to identify which is which from the 5 photos and the 6 listed and asked what about the other 2 as it said 8 meats fornthe Unli Mix... she was totally Clueless and was even arguing that they were already able to serve this and that so I told her, that is not what I'm asking for, what I want to know is what else is included in the mix since you have here stated 8 meats but only 6 are listed with only 5 photos to compare... to cut it short, my inquiry on their 8 meats was never satisfied. In addition they brag about 15 different side dishes and when we saw them mostly were useless and was just included for quantity. Would have appreciated it if they only had 6 but quality ones. Among the 15 side dishes that were kinda ok (again "kinda") were the Kimchi, peanuts and fish cake... the rest straight to the trash bin for me (serve this to Gordon and he'll have your place and menu recommended for a total make-over). We also noticed that the exhaust was not really sucking the smoke from the grill inspite of us calling theor attention for this and pointing out that the exhaust wasn't functioning, they just checked the switched if it was on and not even bothered to verify if it was properly working or not... true tonthe fact that the entire place was really already hazy from the smoke and broken exhaust funnels they have. By the way we were seated on a table with a stove howeve to my surprise all of the tables ont the 2nd floor was charcoal grill. The supervisor and other staffs who seated us their first customers didn't even bother to ask if we preferred charcoal grill or stove grill. In addition, their staffs were very clumsy, changing our grill top without any safety precautions and just lifting it without anything toncarch the hot oil drips coming from it that almost got me burned. In other Samgyupsal joints, its either they have a tray ready for this or the staffs are really well trained and adept in changing grill tops with good techniques to prevent oil drippings the staffs here have ZERO technique. Further more their meat cuts were TOO FATTY with really big chunks of FAT! I even got a whole cut of fat with a very thin layer of meat... the ONLY saving grace is their Seafood Soup. I find the place very unsanitary and even their shared toilets has no functioning flush and without a male urinal, no soap and no tissue at that... Formerly SINSUN now The Premier Samgyupsal, I'm kinda curious why the name change? But then again it doesn't matter anymore as I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE... I dine to enjoy the place, the company of friends and family and savour the flavours a restaurant has to offer and not just consider quantity without considering quality... it is even more expensive than other Unlimited Samgyupsal out there but very POOR food quality, worn out tables and un attentive staffs. They don't even serve unlimited drinks and drinks are not included on their offer on Unlimited Samgyupsal not a good value for your hard earned money.
VERDICT: Definitely on the BOTTOM...
Read moreThe place was a bit small compared to other samgyup restos in the metro. First i want to highlight the things that needs to be improved.
It took them at least 40 mins to give us forks. My mom and one of our friend doesn't know how to use chopsticks so we asked for forks. Surprisingly, we asked them more than 5 times for two forks. It was 3pm and there were only 3 tables occupied. Im not really sure why it took them that long to give us two basic utensils.
it took them at least 15 mins to give our request. Everytime we asked for kimchi or more beef etc., it took them time. I dont know if they lack man power or are they busy with something else.
they need more ventilation. I think i can speak for those people who had experienced eating here. They are using charcoal for their samgyup not like the ones you see in other restos that uses lpg gas or butane. For me charcoal is better because it gives a smokey taste off the beef. Unfortunately, it also caused eye irritation from the smoke that came from the charcoal. At first i thought i was just the one experiencing this. After a few minutes all of us where having teary eyes from the grill.
Now for the good things
the food is very good! I specifically loved the pork belly and the chicken. I dont usually eat pork in a samyup since i prefer beef over pork but the taste of their pork here is different. Specially the chicken! I love how they marinated their chicken.
staff here are very polite. Even if it took them years to hand over 2 forks and 3 years to replenish our dishes, they were really polite and courteous. Hands down for customer service. I even asked if i can try to slice the meat with their machine and they obliged to my request. One of the crew even taught me how to slice them properly.
Overall, it was 3 out of 5 for me. Dont get me wrong. The food here is 5. It's just the overall experience that made me picked 3. I hope they would be able to fix the ventilation. Let's see...maybe after a few months i would change...
Read moreThe store was okay. However, if you compare this branch with their BGC and Assembly Grounds locations, you might be disappointed. One possible factor is that they operate 24/7, so the staff seem a bit… tired?
The meat cuts could be better—they were so thin that when cooked, only about half the original amount remained. Maybe it was just bad timing, but one of the most irritating parts of our visit was when a party of eight arrived. I’m not sure if they were famous or maybe influencers, but they were extremely loud. The manager seated them right next to us, even though the adjacent table was only meant for four people. The area became so cramped that the passageway beside my man was completely blocked. It was uncomfortable, and to make things worse, one of their customers even tried to place their items on our table—so rude!
It felt like they were given special treatment without considering the convenience of other customers—like us. The staff was highly attentive to this big group, yet it took several attempts to get their attention for our needs.
Additionally, the ventilation needs improvement. The smoke was so thick that my eyes started watering.
Overall, it didn’t feel like a Premier Samgyupsal experience. In fact, Samgyupsalamat is even better than...
