Mesa Tomas Morato — Restaurant in Quezon City

My friend recomend this restaurant if u craving for filiphino cuisine and this is my second time order from this restaurant. This time I tried to dine in for lunch and order from appetizer to their desert. ~ Spring roll : 7/10 I like their crispy taste and veggy + fish fill inside it, for me it taste just ok bcs little bit bland for my taster but the portion is fair for the price ~ salted egg shrimp : 7/10 it’s not as i was expected but taste still good. It’s very creamy and i can taste hint of sweet? But overall it’s good. I order the small plate bcs it’s good for 2-3 pax ~ beef (i forget the name🥲) : 8/10 it’s their recommend in the menu book u can find it. I love the taste and perfectly well to eat with rice and kangkoong hahah also order the small plate ~ kangkoong lechon : 7/10 i make request to separate the lechoon hehe it taste good also and they have many garlic above it, so tasty. ~ leche fla : 9/10 for people that love pudding i highly recomend this for you. So soft, creamy and sweet. I love it for perfect combination.

Overall for price really reasonable with their big portion and i ordered this many things only spent around P1500 for 2 pax....

Tried the best seller Ostrich. Meat was tough? Which is almost impossible to do when cooking ostrich... the meat itself was "drunken" which I assume meant floating on too much oil. The main and extremely overpowering taste, was the burnt garlic.

2nd meal was hot sizzling shrimp. I expected it to be quite spicy, but it's very bland. Maybe we came on a bad day, but it's put us off eating in Mesa again.

Shame about the food and when waiting for the bill... 10 minutes after eating? We had to stand up to find someone to ask for the bill which was also odd because there were at least 4 waiters walking around earlier.

The other complaint would be the soft seating. Every time the person moves, whoever sits behind you, you'll feel the movement. Many times i could feel someone's elbow in my back. Not comfy. There was...

Second time dining here and it is still awesome ! The food is great as well as the ambiance ! So glad nothing changed since i am the one who suggested to dine in here and my fam was happy with the food and place. I guess this is the best MESA BRANCH if im not mistaken, i havent tried other branches but some were horrible according to others. I just stick to where i experienced best. Prices were reasonable, some says the serving is small but i dont know where they are trying to compare. Others say, wait time is too long, like OMG, the wait time is just reasonable for me considering the customers count and the orders count. Its not like it took 1hour to receive the food.
