Pho Hoa - Ali Mall — Restaurant in Quezon City

Pho Hoa in Ali Mall is pretty much standard, and they’re consistent with the taste and quality we’ve come to expect from other branches. We ordered our usual favorites—Beef Stew, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Pork, Spring Rolls, a Vermicelli Bowl, and iced tea—all of which were prepared well.

We visited on a Tuesday lunch and found plenty of available seating. Orders came quickly, everything was accurate, and the staff were attentive and friendly.

One thing that could use improvement is a stronger emphasis on staff presentation and cleanliness. The server assisting us had a noticeable odor, which I assume might be due to the rainy weather affecting laundry (kulob). At first we thought it was the rags used on the table, but later on found out it was the staff’s clothes. While this may sound minor, it did affect our dining experience, especially since the smell was noticeable every time he came to our table. Addressing this could further enhance the overall guest experience.

It is my first time to try their branch in Ali Mall, Cubao. The place is a bit small and quite compact, though I believe it can accommodate a bit group of people. The ambiance is nice and very homey.

The staff were a bit cluttered and some are unapproachable even though we came at a pre-dinner time. We and the other customers are a bit lost since no one is accommodating us outside the resto and we just walked in and straight to our preferred seatings. (Hope they could enhance their management)

The food that we ordered are nice and delicious. Their Pho tasted the same in the local commercial Vietnamese restaurant in Vietnam which is a plus since you can taste a bit of their authentic Vietnamese flavors and aroma. We ordered their Fried Rice Paper Rolls, Seafood Pho and Tendon Pho which tasted nice and had a robust flavor.

Disappointed tonight. When I just invited my family to dine here because I love the food at Pho Hoa and really recommend it but the service/food today made this lovely meal into disappointment. At first, the food arrived longer than expected. Water is not served, had to request for it and wait long time for it. First order came, Our Pho is not hot and the noodle is hard, had to politely request to recook, but the crew did not serve us well as he removed the bowl from our table.
