From beginning to end, our experience here at Cabalen was disappointing.
The hostess didn't even show us to our table, she pointed to a table 15 ft. away that was hidden behind people who were still taking their seat. We stood there waiting for her to show us where our table was. She never even greeted us when we got there.
All of the workers at this location looked unhappy and stressed. Everytime we tried to get someone's attention they would walk right past us. None of them had a pleasant demeanor except for Jamal who took our drink order.
Most of the food was quite bland. The only thing that I slightly enjoyed was the kare kare and the bulalo.
People would use the kalamansi and place it back in the dish on the buffet. Which is disgusting.
My dad bit down hard on a rock in his Ginataan Munggo. When he complained to one of the managers, she dismissed his claim, saying it was just a burned munggo bean. It was a rock. Not a burned munggo. It was as if she could not care less.
The desserts were rarely replenished. The fruit was bland and there was no ice for the halo halo.
The overall ambiance of this place was unpleasant, rushed, and unhappy.
I have never left a buffet still hungry.
I don't mind never going to this Cabalen...
Read moreWe arrived at 7pm and only one decent dish was left, which was lechon ulo. The other two dishes were just vegetables. There was no ice cream, only their spaghetti pasta. Honestly, the 25-peso pasta you can buy from a karinderya is tastier than Cabalen's, even though their dishes look unappetizing. In the end, we just ate two balut each HAHAHAHAHAHA. For a whopping 550 pesos lol. The crew wasn't helpful either. My mother, who is a SENIOR, had to ask for a toothpick to pick at their bony dish. They didn't even respond, just ignored her. Cabalen Alimall branch is trash. 🤣
PS: They only accommodate certain people. Maybe because my sibling is just wearing her pambahay clothes. But please don't be judgemental, okay? Maybe the people you think are poor are actually the...
Read moreCabalen in Alimall for P488/ P508 pesos buffet is just too expensive compared to what they served. They have very few options of menus and not worth it for P488 or P508 pesos.
Utensil arrangements and availability are also a thumbs down. They serve halo2x but they do not provide spoons for halo2x so you need to use the spoon you use for your food to mix the halo2x
Food arrangement is a messed at the start you can see halo2x but you don't know the right mixing stuffs because it is mixed woth other stuffs which are not for desserts.
They served only 1 meat then other menus are mediocre. Their strategies is displaying will discourage the customer to try the food because they let it be almost empty. Nit...
