The atmosphe had a rustic vibe, and a cozy feel to it. The place was adequately ventilated and the temperature was adjusted to a comfortable level. Service was superb, the staff were polite and they also had a smile on their faces. They were attentive to our needs and were knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, it was okay, though I expected more. We got the Wagyu Beef Cheek Ragu Pappardelle, Roasted Squash Soup, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Matcha Latte, and a can of Coke. The most delicious for me was the Roasted Squash Soup. It was, however, a tad bit too sweet. But the flavors and texture were distinct and on point. Second best item we ordered was the Wagyu Beef Cheek Ragu Pappardelle. Pasta was Al dente and the beef was tender and juicy (as it should be). The dish would have been better if more bell peppers were added to the dish to give it a little more texture. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was recommended to us by our server. This, however, did not give justice to its status. I found the chicken dry and under-seasoned. The gravy was not bad, it was just what the dish needed. Without it, eating the chicken would’ve been like eating a cardboard. Sadly, I’ve had better Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Lastly, the Matcha Latte was sweet and creamy. The matcha was good too. I would go back and try their pizza, maybe I’d give them a better...
Read moreIf you're looking for a modern and cozy restaurant with good food and great ambiance, Prologue is definitely worth a visit. Although the parking situation can be a bit tricky, it's best to come early and reserve a table to ensure a hassle-free experience.
The restaurant's modern industrial theme is complemented by the sight of the chefs working in front of you, which adds to the excitement of your dining experience. The music played at Prologue is also a great addition, with classic mid 90s to 20s love songs adding to the restaurant's overall charm.
While the air conditioning was not functioning properly during our visit, the management promptly provided stand fans to keep us comfortable. As for the food, we found it decent enough, with a lot of leafy ingredients like arugula and tomato sauce in the dishes.
The Margherita pizza, in particular, stood out as a must-try item on the menu. The use of burrata cheese truly elevated the pizza's flavor, and it was a shame we didn't have room for dessert due to its filling nature. We also tried the grilled pork iberico, which was cooked to perfection and had a properly crusted exterior.
Overall, Prologue is a great restaurant that deserves a visit for its good food, great ambiance, and excellent service. If you're in the Tomas Morato area, be sure to...
Read moreMy husband and I would normally just drive around and spot cafes or restaurant that catches our eye. And this was one of them. Though honestly I did checked out the reviews online. I don't rely on the reviews entirely most of the time. But what struck me was their menu list. It's varied and that's what we like. Choices. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a massive, glass covered, clean kitchen. For us, it's impressive because it means the chef, cooks and staff are confident in what they are doing even if you might want to stand there and look at them.
I ordered a Moroccan lamb (shockingly big but coupled with a big taste) and my hubby ordered Hayashi oxtail (tender and tasty) . For our starters, was the tomato soup (perfectly thick) and escargot (without shell and we're impressed with the taste). We ordered a bottle of red wine too.
It was nice to see other families and groups of friends ordering a bottle 🍾 of wine to compliment their food too. The wine list was impressive and so was the Argentinian Reserve that we ordered. Though only 4 wines available on that evening-gladly my husband chose well, as always.
They have courteous and...
