From its humble beginnings tucked away in a corner of Don Bosco, Makati, Amici has evolved into a culinary juggernaut, proving that homegrown talent can rival any franchise.

Gone are the days of sweltering in their cafeteria-like setup; now, they're setting the bar high for affordable Italian cuisine across the country.

I can still recall those days when air conditioning was a luxury, but now, stepping into their Tomas Morato branch feels like entering a gastronomic oasis.

And boy, has their menu expanded! From simple beginnings to a plethora of tantalizing choices, they've mastered the art of keeping us hooked.

On this occasion, my friend and I opted for a lighter fare: Mediterranean Blue Cheese & Walnut Salad, Spinach Artichoke, and Creamy Tomato Soup, perfectly complemented by a Mixed Berries shake for me and a velvety Cappuccino for my companion.

While I could've used an extra sprinkle of blue cheese on the salad (because who doesn't love that tangy kick?), every dish delivered on flavor and consistency.

And let's not forget dessert – because no Amici experience is complete without it. I indulged in my all-time favorite, the Sea Salt Caramel Cake, a symphony of sweetness and decadence that left me craving more.

In the ever-changing landscape of the culinary world, Amici stands as a beacon of consistency, promising decades of delightful experiences to come.

I really love Truffle pastas.. Their version for me is a 4 out of 5 coz i still prefer it with spaghetti pasta instead of the Linguine as it tends to become dry on the palate. The pumpkin soup is 3 out of 5. But the churros with vanilla ice cream and ube halaya is my fave. Good combination of texture for a dessert.

The service is phenominal. Very kind and alert staff. I accidentally got a clumsy moment when my fork fell a staff run toward my table right away as i was about to pick it up, they did it for me. Salamat. Cheerful staff too.. very inviting..

Attentive staff, clean place with pleasant ambiance. Quality of food is good. Food prices are mid-high range but it is made up by extras especially if you purchase their card. Their set meal for 5 or 10 is similar in type and price to Shakey's--pasta, pizza, chicken, pitcher of your choice of drink but the food here tastes so much better with gelato ice cream thrown into the mix.
