The sandwiches are good. Not really awesome but its OK. I now order the wraps to lessen my carb intake. Lots of selection now than before. They've also adjusted the prices, so its a little more affordable now.
The only thing that hasnt really improved greatly is the service. For the many years I've been eating at different Subway locations in the Philippines, service is my only complaint. Sometimes the service is good, but there are more times that I found the service at a Subway Philippines branch lacking in quality. I think Subway Philippines needs to rethink its recruitment and training program.
They should only get people who are patient enough to wait on customers since their restaurants have more interaction with customers. They should also be able to listen attentively to what the customer wants and follow instructions well.
Most importantly, they should get employees who do not have an attitude and are not lazy.
I ate at this Ali Mall branch and I ordered a breakfast wrap sandwich. I also ordered a cappuccino and some mini hashbrowns.
When I was finished giving instructions for my sandwich, I noticed on the menu board that they had a promo for the breakfast sandwiches. You can add an Americano and mini hashbrown for only P65. You will save P35 in this way.
I asked the guy making my order if I can avail that. He told me that I cant because I ordered a cappuccino. I asked him if my cappuccino was already made. If it wasnt yet made, I would like to have it changed to an Americano so I could avail of the promo. This guy, without checking in any way if my cappuccino was already done, just quickly answered yes, it was done. Therefore, I couldnt avail of the promo anymore. I found this odd because he didnt even look back at the coffee machine to see if someone already made my cappuccino.
After a few minutes, when I was already about to pay the cashier, he suddenly says that my cappuccino is not yet done, and that I could still switch to the Americano and get the promo. Good thing I havent paid the cashier yet, otherwise it would have been a hassle.
I think either he was just being lazy earlier to change my order, or he was giving me attitude. I have a hunch it was the latter. Either way, this has turned me off from this branch of Subway. No more Subway for me in Araneta City from now on. I'll just go to French Baker next time and grab a clubhouse or a...

I just have to say that the staff in this branch must be trained further on customer service. They have no customer service in assisting the orders of customers. They are in a state of “i want to get this over with” 😔
When I asked for a paper bag for take out, the staff just pointed to me the pack of bags without even handing it over to me. The pack was inside their selling booth and as a standard procedure, this is off likits...
