My partner and I went here over the weekend, and overall we were happy with the meal and service. It took only a few minutes (about 5 to 10) to find a seat, and it was around 5 PM in the afternoon.
We placed the following orders: Baked Buns with BBQ Pork (3/5) is a specialty. The BBQ pork is covered in sweet BBQ sauce, but I feel like it could have used a few more seasonings. Keep an eye out for crumbs despite the bun's softness.
Rice: Spare Ribs Rice (4/5) My partner absolutely appreciated this dinner, but the chili fell short when compared to rival restaurants' offerings. The meat was generally tender, and the ratio of rice to meat was, at best, equal.
Noodles: Chow Mien Stir Fried Noodle (Dry) (3/5) The portion is small, and the flavor is average with nothing spectacular. Not too salty or too bland.
Dim sum: Pork Dumpling with Shrimp (5/5) With this one, you can never go wrong. Put your preferred dipping sauce on top and enjoy.
Dim sum: Prawn Dumpling (5/5) The prawn used in this dish is as fresh as it gets. However, the dough used here is much thinner than other places.
Dessert: Salted Egg Yolk Custard Buns (3/5) I had an accident with this since I failed to open it slightly first before eating it straight on, causing it to erupt on my mouth. It was excellent but lacked the "Salted...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Tim Ho Wan SM North EDSA, and it was an exceptional experience. We tried the Beef Noodles, Pork Porridge, and Glutinous Rice, and every dish was a testament to authentic Hong Kong cuisine.
The Beef Noodles were perfectly cooked, with tender beef slices and a flavorful broth that was both comforting and satisfying. The Pork Porridge was creamy and rich, with just the right consistency and a savory taste that warmed the soul. The Glutinous Rice, wrapped and steamed to perfection, delivered a delightful combination of textures and flavors.
This branch truly lives up to the Michelin-starred reputation of Tim Ho Wan. The quality and authenticity are consistent with their Mong Kok branch, making it a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Hong Kong-style dishes. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreHave been to Tim Ho Wan on quite a few occasions (very nice in general). We had glutanious rice chicken, steam pork ribs, stir fried noodles, congee, steam prawn dumplings, beef balls & sui mai. Biggest surprise of the day was the prawn rolls usually is my wife's must have (she loves rice rolls) but today's was really over cooked. Couldn't pick up a nice piece of it without it breaking and crumbling into small bits (had the same dish a few times wasn't like this) other then that the rest of the meals are very good. To tell you the truth I've had better dim sum at various other places but it's Tim Ho Wan execution and presentation of the dish that set's them apart that's why I would go back there time and time again. Service is definitely...
