Zark's Burgers (Rays Hot chicken ) - SM City Fairview — Restaurant in Quezon City

Food is great but service is bad.We ordered creamy,cheesy and meaty pasta for sharing,two orders of burger steak and one extra rice.The guy who took our order VINCE PERFECTO told us that serving time will take 15 minutes.We ordered at exactly 2:40 and after 15 min the pasta was served.It is served in the big serving plate.Syempre we ordered for sharing not the regular one.But they did not give us plate so I call their attention and told them how are we gonna eat this You only give us fork.So after a minute or so they gave us plate now I followed up our 2 orders of burger steak they say for awhile and it is already 3pm.Then after 10 minutes I followed up again for our order and they say maam we told you serving time is 20 min.then I say even if it's 20 minute it's already past 30minutes.I saw their reaction that it seems that they did not notice the order in their computer.So okay as long as they serve it before 3:30 coz we have to rushed to cinema for our scheduled movie at 3:40.Time check they serve the burger steak at exactly 3:14pm and to my surprise they just served 1order.Then when I asked them that we ordered 2 with 1 extra ruce,they told me it's only 1 that is written.So we ended up not taking it anymore.I cancelled the order.We just pay the pasta ciz we already consumed it.It's their fault not mine.So bahala sila kung sa kanila macharge yung nilabas nilang burger steak.Then I asked for the lastname of the crew VINCE who took our order,at first they don't want to give it then I told them I want to get it coz I'm going to report it to their management.So we ended up eating food inside cinema.Well SNACK TIME food served in cinema...

I'll start with the good: value for the food is okay. For the same price you'll get half the burger you can get in Burger King. That's good for Zark's. Every burger comes with a good amount of fries which tastes okay. I'll stop with the pros there and start with the bad news.

The place looks very gloomy, no warm light which doesn't feel inviting and the place doesn't look well laid out. Couches are paired with regular seats which you cannot find like it in any other restaurants inside SM. Tables move around even with very little effort. You'll find yourself spilling your drinks because the tables cannot stay put. Staff are like the place, they're gloomy and doesn't respond well. I asked one time for tissue papers and the manager greeted me with a pack of tissue papers and said "kuha ka na lang diyan brad". No wonder the servers are like that. The food, though in good on quantity, doesn't reflect quality. First bite in the burger felt like my teeth is wading in unseasoned sea of ground beef. I cannot imagine myself finishing a burger there satisfied. Also as soon as you lift the burger with your hands you'll be greeted by a stream of grease flowing from the burger. Even Michael Phelps can swim in the puddle of grease it poured. It's like you're paying for your own heart attack. Lastly when we asked for our bill it came on a lidless plasticware.

My other gripe is that the restroom isn't working when we came. The door for the restroom is broken bad. Then there's the sink which also isn't working. For a place full of greasy hands, a broken sink is inexcusable.

Zarks' branch in SM Fairview is decorated like a college basketball bar. There is a large TV playing a college basketball game the entire time we were there. The menu has an interesting mix of burger variations. I tried the burgers that doesn't sound familiar and I was pleasantly surprised. It has nice flavor that I haven't encountered before in any restaurant or other burger chains. Even the side dishes tasted unique. The crew are all friendly and didn't give you that vibe that you're being rushed. I don't like it when a restaurant makes me feel like I have to hurry up with my order.
