On the day we dined, there were only two of us in the restaurant, and no other customers. We politely asked a male staff member if we could sit by the window, but our request was declined, so we chose another table. Five minutes later, another pair of guests arrived and were promptly seated at the window. The menu at the entrance listed Yeon-eo Bap, but the dish was nowhere to be found on the menu inside. I ended up ordering Kimchi Udon, which turned out to be excessively salty and greasy—though perhaps other dishes might be better. We ordered a matcha tea, served in a small cup that was completely full, along with hot water and sugar. The staff explained that we could dilute the matcha if it was too bitter, but the cup was so full that there was no room to add water. I asked for a larger cup and more hot water, and they brought me an entirely full cup of hot water… At that point, I didn’t know what else to say. In the end, I had to use my own water glass to mix it.
A bizarre dining experience—just sharing for laughs!
[Update: 2025/01/02] I received a message from the restaurant staff and would like to commend their proactive approach. I feel it necessary to update my review and revise my response.
I must clarify an error in my original statement. On the day we dined, there were two of us, and window seats 2 and 3 were indeed occupied. However, I need to emphasize that window seat 1 was vacant. Our request was specifically to sit at window seat 1, not the already-occupied seats 2 or 3. Unfortunately, the staff politely declined our request, so we opted for another table. As the owner mentioned in their response, shortly afterward, another party of two arrived and was seated directly at window seat 1. This situation left us feeling somewhat unfairly treated. Later, when the guests at window seat 2 left, the staff kindly asked if we would like to move, but since our food had already been served, we chose to stay at our table.
2 and 3 are not points of contention but rather minor issues related to menu synchronization and communication. Additionally, following this review, I received a thoughtful message via Viber from a staff member, Stan, who sought to clear up any misunderstandings. I genuinely appreciate the restaurant's dedication to customer service, and I look forward to returning in the future to try...
Read moreWe tried their wagyu omakase and it was an amazing experience. The staff cooked the wagyu for us and knew exactly the recommended doneness for each part. He was also very knowledgeable about the different wagyu cuts and what sauces or sides to pair them with. We were a group of four and the serving was just perfect for us.
The omakase we ordered included two different soups. I am not sure about the names, but one tasted like kimchi soup and the other was similar to a "bulalo" soup. Both were really good. The set also came with a steamed egg, which is always a must-have when eating at Korean restaurants. Their side dishes were well chosen, and my favorite was the fried anchovy with peanuts. We loved it so much we refilled it more than six times.
Among the wagyu cuts, the Hybrid American Wagyu Misuji and A5 Kagoshima Striploin were my top favorites. Both were incredibly tender and flavorful.
The missing star is because of the reservation issue. We called to reserve a day before and even confirmed a few hours before our visit. However, when we arrived, the receptionist said they could not find our reservation, so we had to wait for seats. They did give us a complimentary dish as an apology. To avoid this in the future, it would be better to confirm reservations through text and also take note of the receptionist's name.
Overall, it was a very good wagyu omakase experience and I will definitely come back for my...
Read more(Visited like 3 weeks ago) Ordered: Wagyu Omakase set (for 2). First off, good food, great place, and best service.
Service: best service I've had in PH dining. Servers themselves will take initiative to give you a great time.
Ambiance: Feels good, looks clean in the morning, and feels cozy in the night. Really clean so no need to worry about having problems regarding the place.
Food (Wagyu Omakase set for 2) : Appetizers pa lang mabubusog ka na bago pa dumating ang karne kaya mag pigil ka. Everything in the appetizers tastes great, notable dishes in the appetizers are the Kimchi (probably self made) , and the Steamed Egg.
Next are two soups and the best one is the kimchi stew. Not too spicy, just the right amount of spiciness, perfect.
The Wagyu set is delicious, the staff themselves will cook it for you so you don't mess it up and is up to the restaurant's standard. The steaks are soft and it melts in your mouth not like those fake ass meat that says "Wagyu" nah this is legit. And do yourself a favor and just let them cook the steak medium (no it's not blood)
They give you dips for your meat and the most important one(for me) is the TRUFFLE SALT. If I can take that home I'd be a happy man. This truffle salt is not like those scuffed chemical BS, naw this is made with real truffle.
All in all steak cravings satisfied, I don't think I'll ever have to look for another steak place again and...
