Disappointed to see one of my favorite spots for a quick meal before heading to the office decline in quality and service.
Earlier today, I stopped by to grab my usual quick chicken sandwich croissant. Since I was in a hurry, I expected it to be a fast process, especially since itās a pre-prepared item that just needs to be heated. However, the experience was far from smooth. The waitress taking our order, along with most of the staff, seemed poorly trained. They had to clarify my very simple order multiple times, about four, to be exact.
Despite this, my order took an unreasonable 25 minutes. When I followed up, the waitress informed me that there had been a mistake, causing the delay. Honestly, I was baffled, after all those questions, how could they still mess it up?
To make matters worse, when the sandwich finally arrived, it was stone cold. After waiting that long, I was beyond frustrated. I decided to cancel my order and just settle the bill, but even that was another ordeal. It took so long that I had to walk up to the cashier myself just to get the receipt.
Unfortunately, I was in a rush for a meeting and didnāt get the chance to speak to the manager. At this point, though, I donāt even care. I wonāt be returning to this Paul...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe wanted to get some coffee and breakfast and tried this place.
Before we got our food, we were provided with complementary bread with some butter. The bread was very firm with a little crunch to it. It was great with the butter.
I ordered the Eggs Benedict and Grand CafƩ. My sister in law got their almond chocolate croissant and my wife got their longanissa breakfast.
I always wanted to try Eggs Benedict since i dont have the patience to make one myself. The eggs were poached perfectly that when you cut through, you get that creamy runny yolk. It needed some salt and pepper but the salt and pepper shakers were readily available on the table. After you get a bite of the eggs and ham, you can reset your palate with the vinaigrette salad and cherry tomatoes. Their coffee was good also. Very strong.
My sister in law said the almond croissant was really good also. She mentioned that the chocolate used was similar to some high quality chocolate from Japan. You can also taste the almonds and butter in each layer.
My wife got their longanissa breakfast. This was also good. The rice had a nice garlic flavor. The longanissa was on the sweet side though. We prefer if it had a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never been to such an upscale place (or one that attempts to pass itself off as such) with such underwhelming service. We dined in and ordered several dishes to share. They didn't give us small plates for us to eat our portions from (were they expecting us to just dive in and eat from the serving plates directly?), no waiter giving us any attention (we had to pick up the menu ourselves, we had to walk up to the counter everytime we needed something, and we were never offered any refills of water), no last call (they just pulled out all the pastries/desserts when we were planning to order some more after finishing our meal). Used tissue in the restroom was overflowing from the trashbin. All the bread that came with the orders were stiff and dry, which is unacceptable for a boulangerie, and impossible to eat for one of our companions who had braces. The pastries were good, but the tagging on the display was mismatched to the product (we ordered a millefeuille thinking it was a lemon tarte, and what was served was completely different). Serving sizes are way too small for the price. Save your money and dine elsewhere, or just come here to take out...
