BEST EMPANADAS I HAVE EVER HAD I knew Vigan City is famous for crispy empanadas; I did not expect Irene's empanadas to be life-changing. I really, REALLY love the crispy exterior. I actually don't like dough-y puff pastries that are typically associated with empanadas, so I'm already in love with the Vigan-style empanadas. I ordered the Combo Jumbo for 110 php; worth every piso. Great balance of cabbage, egg, and meat. I got more for the road, because they are that good. You must try Irene's empanadas at least once in your life.

Best longganisa for even the best value! Even better than the expensive ones on crisologo st! A bit oily but the taste was superb. Nice empanada as well. Hadn't had the chance to shoot the longanisa coz it was too delicious to resist! A good local resto and a must-try specially if on a budget. Oh. And by the way, they're open as early as 8am. When all of vigan is still asleep. :))) that's actually the main reason how we discovered it.

Irene's Empanada is one of the better-known empanadahan in Vigan. I noticed that Irene's empanadas are pre-made and they re-fry when someone orders. Unfortunately, at certain times, I think the oil wasn't hot enough, making the empanada too oily. Too bad, since their empanadas are quite good. They have two stores. The bigger (near Gordion Hotel, pictured), offers more seating, better ventilation and is in a quieter area. The other, along Calle Crisollogo. 🌈 rainbowjournal . com

Empanada tasted good. Both the pork (Vigan longanisa) for 50pesos or the special empanada with bagnet for 60pesos. You can opt to have it heated. Vinegar is sour for my taste. But surprisingly compliments the empanada. Empanada is crispy, papaya is the main vegetable with 1 whole egg. Size is alright. Their empanada has a generous amount of vigan longanisa compared to some empanada I have tried.

Love local food especially Vigan's empanada. This local restaurant in Vigan has been producing the best empanada in town and it is Irene's empanada. Everytime I had to hangout with friends in Vigan, empanada is a must go-to merienda and make sure to go straight to Irene's empanada. Empanada is one of the famous delicacies in Ilocos Sur. It is best dip with sukang Iloko. Perfect!

What a wonderful unique and authentic place! The empanadas are amazingly crispy and delicious. They have different fillings and they are freshly made every day. I tried their longanisa and chicken versions and was blown away by the great taste. The place itself is simple, but they have enough fans for you to enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit place in Vigan
