I recently dined at Maharaja Lounge in Gdańsk, and it was truly an exceptional experience! From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere transports you to a luxurious setting, complete with elegant decor, soft lighting, and traditional Indian elements that give the place a royal ambiance.
Food: The menu offers a rich variety of authentic Indian dishes, catering to all tastes—from mild to fiery. I tried the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and a selection of tandoori dishes, and every bite was packed with bold, complex flavors. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident. The naan bread was fluffy, and the biryani was aromatic and flavorful. The vegetarian options are equally impressive, with dishes like paneer tikka and dal makhani standing out.
Service: The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They guided us through the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The service was fast, yet we never felt rushed, allowing us to savor our meal at a relaxed pace.
Ambiance: The decor is stunning, with intricate Indian artwork and warm tones that create a cozy yet refined setting. The soft music in the background adds to the relaxed, regal vibe. It’s the perfect place for both intimate dinners and special celebrations.
Price: Considering the quality of the food and the overall experience, the prices are very reasonable. You get a true taste of India in a luxurious setting without breaking the bank.
Final thoughts: Maharaja Lounge is, without a doubt, one of the best Indian restaurants in Gdańsk. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable...
Read moreHey if you are looking for a quick review: worst indian food i have ever had in my life, good ambience and location!
If you have some time to kill and looking for a longer review, please read below!
this guy says i lack authentic taste!! Lol I was born and brought up in south india and lived there for 3 decades! But bro chuck that, how can you lie through your teeth saying you serve authentic food? No chef who respects his profession and the art of cooking would ever lie like this!
Edit 1:
Oh wow look how defensive and mean this guy is! Lets get into the bottom of this shall we?
I just read reviews from other indian people below and understood that you really serve below average food and whenever someone gives bad reviews you start getting defensive, such a looser!
I have to fly down to India to eat dum biriyani?? First of all you deceived me naming it Hyderabad biriyani and placing a picture of proper Hyderabadi biriyani next to it! There was no disclaimer that picture might be different than actual food so basically i can file a false advertisement claim in a small claims court but you and your bad food restaurant is wayyy below me for me so just spending next 5 mins of my time nothing more!
Secondly why did i finish food before telling you? Well your “chef” came for feedback after i finished the food and before i could even comment on the food he ran into his station! And unlike you im raised by good parents who taught me not to waste food thats served on my plate!
Now a man to man comment! If you wanna grow in life take feedback from people, accept criticism and work on yourself rather than being defensive and asking people to fly to india to eat! I know what i have to do, You first do what you are expected to do as a restaurant...
Read moreAn Authentic and Amazing Indian Culinary Experience
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maharaja Lounge, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Indian food experiences I’ve had. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting ambiance and excellent music sets the tone for an unforgettable meal.
The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Indian flavors and creative dishes, offering something for everyone. I started with the samosas and onion bhaji, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside. Each well-sized dish that followed, from the rich and creamy chicken bhalti to daal makhani, was cooked to perfection. The spice levels were just right—enough to excite the palate without overwhelming it.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Their recommendations were spot-on, particularly the garlic naan bread, which was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. They also offered to box the leftovers which serve as the perfect dinner later on in the day.
What truly sets Maharaja Lounge apart is the care they put into every detail, from the presentation to the quality of ingredients. It’s clear that they are passionate about delivering an authentic Indian experience.
Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, this place is a must-visit. Excellent food, excellent service—truly an amazing dining experience that I can’t...
