Very stale bagels.

Unfortunately, my friend and I had a really unpleasant experience here recently. I came for the first time a few years ago and loved the bagels, however, when I came back this week I was incredibly disappointed. The quality has gone down significantly in the last few years. The bagel I had was so stale that it was almost inedible. I absolutely hate wasting food, but I unfortunately could not finish it.

I would estimate it was about 3-5 days old as I've never has such a stale bagel. When I went to go let the staff know about this issue, they were very apologetic and offered me another bagel, but obviously since the quality was so poor, I wouldn't have been able to eat another one. Just as I was talking to one of the members of staff (who was very friendly), her colleague was trying to cut through one of the bagels and really struggling. A fresh bagel should not be so difficult to cut, this was shocking! This quality is especially disturbing for a bagel place that claims to be the best NY bagel place in Krakow.

I would urge management to review the quality of their food. If you are only serving bagels, it's crucial that they are fresh - especially an 'everything bagel' that would be one of the most popular items on the menu. Young team of welcoming service staff and nice space. We decided to come based on the reviews. Food is decent but for the price we paid, I do not think it is value for money, especially after eating bagels elsewhere and comparing the toppings/flavours.

We ordered the tomato+prosciutto bagel and the brie+bacon+tomato bagel. The bagels were healthy and fresh, not greasy. Not bad, but not that special either. The toppings and ingredients were sparse.

The bagel is really great and the place very beautiful. The portion is big and satisfying. It's not getting 5 stars because the price is a bit high for the city, specially because they don't go to the tables, you gotta get the menu by yourself and make the order in the cashier. I personally don't have a problem with that in a fast food, cheap place, but in a place so beautifully decorated, that is supposed to create an experience to the client it doesn't make sense the lack of attention from the staff, that could be going on the tables, explaining the different options...
