I have discovered how delicious Indian food can be and so have my parents a few months ago. After visiting some segmets the castle, we have decided to seek an Indian restaurant, as we had expressed plans to do so a few days prior.
Bharat Flame was the first we have come across and, the moment I saw ethnic Indians lunching there, it was certain that the food would be memorable. My parents were very interested in the skewers while I had already chosen a Lamb dish for myself, until the Indian server explained to us that those were skewers we would need to order sauce for separately. He could have just let us order, but instead he gave us the opportubity to make an i formed decision, which I grealty appreciate.
As a result, my father chose a different Lamb dish while my mother decided on the Fish Masala, a lovely dish. I also indicated that the (again, lovely) Okocim, beer was served at 0,5 and 1 liters, the latter being significantly more advantageous. My father also enjoyed pouring the beer into our glasses, retaining a cond memory of it all.
As for the food itself, words can hardly describe how delicious it was. We tend to share our food so all of us can taste it, so there's that. And, at the end, we decided to order their cardamon milk ball dessert. For one reason or another (probably because we shared our food in such a lovely manner), the restaurant staff offered it to us on the house. I will remember this...
Read moreAt the foot of the Wawel Castle is this brilliant Indian food establishment. The restaurant's atmosphere is fantastic, with lively colours and decorations reflecting India's aesthetic and uniqueness. You'd be glad just sitting inside. Joe and Natalia, the waiter and waitress here, provide excellent, hearty service. They are happy to explain the menu to me, someone new to Indian cuisine. They also explain the dish's spiciness so you can get the taste just for you. Though I am not a vegan or allergic to anything, the menu provides information on allergies and a wide variety of vegan options. Chicken Tikka Masala tastes fantastic, with the beautiful flavour blend and richness of great ingredients and seasoning. The chicken is tender, too. As an East Asian expat, I rarely compliment the rice in Europe. But I have to say the chefs did everything perfectly. I love it! It's a great place to try out, and you’re guaranteed to wish to...
Read moreReally impressed with all parts of our experience here. The man who served us was absolutely lovely and excellent chat. Answered any questions we had and gave us great recommendations.
When the food arrived it did not disappoint. We all got different curries at different spice levels and everything was perfect. Even my annoying friend who asked for something between 2 spice levels. The Naans were delicious, always nice to have some proper Indian beers, although a shame the draft tap wasn't working.
The only think that wasn't so great, but this might just be because it's different to how they're made in England, was the poppadoms. They had a weird taste and were very small and bubbly, we personally didn't enjoy them much but it could just be because it was different to what we expected.
Overall we were incredibly happy with the whole experience here and I would highly recommend anyone in...
