The travel was not prepared - it was a last minute call to go to Krakow in order of not lose a flight with Ryanair that I had booked on summer. So I booked the hotel after the limit hour (15:00) the day before and Ewelina Polys accepted - (God Bless her). I took the flight on 27th an I arrived to Saint Jean Paul II - Airport and took a bus to Krakow (firts time ever in Polonia). First, I went to Leonardo Boutique - Wygoda 8 and there I was attended kindly by the guys on the front desk, who understood that I had to go to the hotel on the Old Town so they gave me a map to be able to get to other hotel (They were really patience and helpful) They even let me charge the battery of my phone which was running out and gave me the right address of Krakow Old Town. Then I went to the right hotel and Lukasz really kindly took my luggage and stored it to let me free until the check-in at 15:00h.
After I walked through the city, I did the check-in. He was really nice and patience because as I'm living in Spain I lost my level of English so much that barely I can have a conversation in English anymore. So I would like you thank him for his patience to attend my humble requirements. I registered in room number 215.
I have loved Krakow and I would like to thank to all the staff of Lucasz, Ewelina Polys, Ignaci Wegrzynski at the front desk for their assistance in everything I asked for. They have been amazing. Futhermore, I would like to thank the cleaning staff for being so attentive, overall the girls in floor number 2. She was so eager of doing her duty that I had to let them work to let my room totally ready for going to sleep.
Futhermore, they had made everything in their hand to let visit all the places I wanted to see. Making me easy the time I've spend in Krakow. Visiting Auschwitz -Bikram is a one life experience. As I said I was totally unprepared.
As a resume, it's been an amazing experience to be there for a couple of days. I enjoy so much the service provide by them that I wouldn't mind to join them an work with them on the hotel. I would love it. They have been amazing with me.
Thanks a lot for an incredible experience, I would have loved to expend much more time there. They are a great team and the hotel is near perfection on my...
Read moreWe were moved hotel without any call or email.
I do understand that things happen and this might have been unavoidable.
However- if someone had been in touch we would've walked to the hotel we'd later stay in from the train station, instead of taking 1 taxi to drop our bags off, and later another taxi to the new hotel. It cost us money and wasted about 2 hours of our short weekend stay.
We didn't get an apology of any sort in person. The member of staff that told us we had to change hotels didn't apologise. They fairly bluntly told us it was only 20 minutes by public transport.
The member of staff that booked us into the new hotel cut me off mid sentence with "yes yes, because there was no room at the other hotel".
We complained at the time- and once more nobody really bothered to say anything to us. There was beer in our room when we got back- but because nobody had spoken to us we didn't really know why it was there.
At check-in we were told what time breakfast was- but we hadn't booked it so we didn't think that applied to us. We learned that was complimentary by way of apology after we'd already arranged breakfast somewhere else.
The building is lovely- but it was a much worse experience than we had at the 2 holiday inns the nights before- which is a substantially cheaper hotel. The staff seem like nice people, but the communication was dreadful and made us feel really unwelcome- which is a shame as this was the nicer hotel of our stay. It's not really enough to just chuck items at people- just speak to...
Read morePaid £257 British pounds for a 4 night stay without breakfast, so roughly £64 a night. Glad I only paid for breakfast the one time on departure day because we were charged 130z! which is £30 for a mediocre breakfast buffet with the selection of 4 hot foods, and limited bakeries or fruit selection. When we did check in we went to our room only to find a huge mess, beer cans, tools, builders merchant absolutely everywhere. Went back to hotel reception to tell them so they could rectify and give us new hotel room and he said he had no idea what was going on up there fair enough. The best thing was the juice and coffee. Rooms were basic at best, house Keeping not everyday. Beds were uncomfortable with 1 flat pillow. TV channel range was broken only showing a blue screen with sound and not picture. Hotel staff got angsty when I requested more water because nothing in my room got replaced for cleaned for 2/3 days and told me to drink tap water from the bathroom, as well as toilet paper was not replenished. Although they have got a nice outside bar area which is good when it is sunny and not raining and restaurant area is clean. And the location is walking distance to most attractions, shopping centres and main square. I did expect a lot more for my money, I will not be booking again next time I visit krakow and I advise you do the same and spend time doing more research for another hotel stay that will be price friendly and offer a good...
