Ate breakfast one day in the garden and it was tasty enough but not warm. The girl who served us was lovely and done what she could and served with a smile. Came and tried foe dinner as the menu choice seemed nice. Sat inside as it was very cold at breakfast time. Service started out OK then they forgot a side of fries to go with the meal, I asked for them twice but ended up cancelling them as people who were eating outside after us all got there's and by the time I had finished my meal still did not have them. The man serving inside just couldn't be bothered with us and spent more time standing at his till or chatting than doing anything. The girl who was working outside was lovely and had we stopped her a couple of times. She was rushed off her feet and she was getting frustrated with our server as he was too busy flirting with the manager who sat on the table behind us on his computer. The food was OK but pretty bland with a small portion. We sat with empty glasses for a long time and I eventually asked the manager if they were closing as they were resetting tables and we were looking for a desert menu. He said no they weren't shutting for another hour and got our server to get these. The cheesecake was supposed to be white chocolate but looked nothing like the menu, and there was no white chocolate to be seen. It also smelt off, and I ended up not eating it. I wouldn't have wasted my time raising a complaint as they just didn't care at all. They even kept the service charge on the bill, which we paid as we didn't want to make a fuss, and they already could see the amount of time we had to stop staff. The service was awful the food was passable (just) but not worth visiting with so much competition around I...
Read moreWe chose a place outside. It was 11 o'clock in the afternoon, there were almost no guests, but for some reason the tables were dirty as if after previous visitors. The cushions on the chairs are not always clean, so given the dirty tables and cushions, the place really had to be chosen. The waiter brought the menu, rather worn and bent. We ordered tom yam, caesar salad, broth, beer and non-alcoholic mojito. All the dishes are quite mediocre and unimpressive, tom yum was brought in broken plate. Caesar salad consisted of 3 pieces of meat, 5 handfuls of leaves and 2 (!!!!!) cherry tomatoes. Even the two of us could not finish these leaves. In total, the bill came to roughly 380 zlotys, a percentage of which was a separate fee for the service. It is not clear what he meant, because when the waiter brought the utensils, he immediately put them on the bare table exactly in the part with which they eat (I remind you about the cleanliness of the tables that I happened to see). Was it possible that the service consisted of the fact that the salt and pepper were served in wooden containers on which the paint was cracked and falling in pieces? This fee is only for a place in the center of Krakow, no more. Unfortunately, the level of the institution that I had the opportunity to observe does not correspond to the level at which they position themselves. Perhaps, if you choose a place inside, the situation...
Read moreMetropolitan Restauracja is by far the worst and most hostile establishment we've ever visited. We wanted some beverages, and were told to go inside. Inside no one greeted us, so we found a table ourselves - fair enough, no problem. However having sat there unattended for 10 minutes without any menu information, I borrowed a drinks menu from the table next to us. Another 10 minutes past before we finally got some attention from the waitress. We ordered two beers and a hot chocolate. And the time went by...and more time passed... I got up and went to the bar, and saw our order was on the bar and ready to serve. After a total of 30 minutes, still without our order, we spoke out to the waitress and told her we were leaving. And oh my, her reaction was quite unexpected. She rolled her eyes and rudely said that it was a restaurant and not a cafe, and that they were busy. We had a little argument and abracadabra, our order appeared in front of us. We washed our beverages down and left the place after being billed for service. Oh, the ironi... We did'nt order food so we don't know about the quality, but on a sidenote, we saw two burgers with fries patiently waiting under the heating lamp for 10 minutes before being served. Gordon Ramsay would have shoved his foot...
