I recently visited La Stazione at ul. Pawia 5 in Galeria Krakowska, Krakow, and I wanted to share my detailed thoughts. I tried two pizzas during my visit: the truffle pizza with borowiki mushrooms, truffle oil, truffle sauce, and mozzarella fior di latte, and the pesto pizza. Starting with the truffle pizza, I was very curious about this gourmet creation, as truffle pizzas are known for their rich and intense flavors. The pizza looked fantastic and had a strong, aromatic truffle scent that immediately caught my attention. However, in terms of taste, I personally found it a bit too heavy. The combination of truffle oil, truffle sauce, and mushrooms can be overwhelming if not balanced with lighter elements, such as fresh arugula, a squeeze of lemon, or fresh herbs. Unfortunately, this pizza lacked that refreshing contrast, which made it feel slightly one-dimensional. I understand that the chef aimed to create something fancy and unique, which is commendable, but the execution could have been refined to make the flavors more harmonious. The pesto pizza, on the other hand, was executed much better. The crust was thin, perfectly baked, crispy on the edges and soft in the center, which I really appreciated. The pesto sauce was fresh and flavorful, the toppings were well-balanced, and every bite was enjoyable. This shows that the kitchen clearly knows how to handle simpler, classic flavors with precision and care. I also want to highlight the staff and kitchen team – they were very friendly, professional, and clearly working at full speed to ensure a smooth experience. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the visit even more pleasant. However, I must mention a downside – the lemonade. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The drink looked nice, but in practice, it was almost entirely water with three ice cubes, a single sprig of mint, and a tiny slice of lemon. It lacked the bright, refreshing citrus flavor and balance that a good lemonade should have. In this form, it didn’t match the quality of the other dishes and left me wishing for a more flavorful, properly prepared drink. Overall, I would rate this pizzeria highly for its thin crust, creative pizza menu, and attentive service. My main constructive feedback concerns the truffle pizza – adding fresh or slightly acidic elements like arugula or a touch of lemon juice could balance the strong flavors and elevate the dish to match its ambitious concept. The pesto pizza, however, was delightful and showed that the restaurant can consistently deliver well-executed, gourmet pizzas in Krakow. Despite these minor points, I would definitely recommend this pizzeria to anyone looking to try creative, gourmet pizzas in Krakow. I will certainly return to explore more of their menu, as it’s clear that the team puts a lot of effort into both presentation and flavor. This is a great spot for pizza lovers who appreciate both classic thin crust and innovative toppings, such as truffles and...
Read moreRacist! Today I have a terrible experience in this place… one of the waitress grabbed me on the exit to the restaurant claiming that I didn’t pay… I paid to another waitress in cash, my wife even left extra money next to the bill…
The whole experience indicate it was just racism and prejudice … since I arrived to the place the treatments was weird… I was looking for a place to eat with my wife, I took a sit on one on the tables and without even 10 seconds of arriving the waitress which saw me getting into the place was asking me if I was ready for ordering…
I told her that I just arrived, she literally gave me like 30 seconds more and ask then “what about now?” ; like if she was in a rush with me or something… I explain her I was waiting for someone and she let me alone… but then at the end when she saw me leaving the place she claimed I didn’t pay.
It was visible on her eyes and actitud that she was having prejudgments with me cause I’m not polish or cause my appearance.
Never coming back to this place… with one year of leaving in krakow I never feel so uncomfortable and...
Read moreIf you want to add something or change a meal on the menu don't come here. Everything was too much trouble, adding mushrooms or tomato sauce. They litterally would not do anything to help. Very bad customer service and not flexible to suit customers needs and allergies. She didn't even try to put something together for me considering my dietary requirements. She asked the manager and they said no so it's their choice.
Also hubby ordered a tagatelli with pesto and as you can see from the pics there is a lot of oil in the pasta, it is swimming in it. A pool of it right at the bottom. He found it sickening and...
