ALLERGIC REACTION
I recently visited Molto and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant due to a severe allergic reaction to nuts.
We were initially excited to try the bruchetta starter, but when I asked the waitress if there were any nuts in the dish due to my allergy, she assured us multiple times that there were none. She even seemed confident about it, so we felt comfortable ordering.
I had an allergic reaction shortly after eating the bruchetta. It became clear that nuts had indeed been included in the dish. We again were assured there were no nuts included but after feeling ill we felt like we had to leave. We paid for the whole bill despite not eating it as we're in a rush to get out.
We had to call an ambulance shortly after leaving.
We've contacted the restaurant about the situation, however they have refused to offer a refund or even send us the full list of ingeditents included.
Instead they have denied that I mentioned I had a nut allergy, and have only offered us a voucher for future use (for the amount we spent), which felt like an insult given the seriousness of the incident.
The refusal to take responsibility for the mistake made a difficult situation even worse. I strongly urge the restaurant to review its practices, especially regarding food allergens, and to prioritize the safety and well-being of its customers over rigid policies.
I am not the type of person to write these reviews however due to the life threatening incident, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone, particularly those with...
Read moreLots of reviewers complaining about bad service & we had the same experience. We had dinner on Tue 12 Dec, the waitress who seated us was lovely but the waitress who wore a black leather jacket with sheepskin collar was so rude!!! She treated everyone around us the same - like she's a princess & we are all wasting her precious time. She speaks to customers in a short, sharp, firm way. It left a bad feeling with customers, especially as she was telling everyone to hurry up & order, then hurry up & pay as they need to finish their shift but we saw her again more than 1hr after closing & she was still there. We had Tomato Soup to start & it was really good, with 2 large mozzarella cheese pieces in the bottom even nicer. Then Mussels in Butter were ok, portion size good but firstly it's French not Italian & secondly I recommend the chef use a little cream instead as it's tastier. It was REALLY SALTY. My partner's food was the Seafood Pasta with squid ink pasta that was still hard in places & not al dente, the seafood & sauce was ok but again SO DAMN SALTY!!! When I told the horrible waitress about it, she treated us with the same lack of care she applies to her job daily. Also the cocktail was a complete rip off, I ordered the Marshmellow which is priced as a proper sized cocktail usually served in a cocktail glass, but this was served in a small champagne flute!! Seems either the rip off is intentional or whoever makes drinks has no idea. I...
Read moreDining at Molto Italian Food & Wine, nestled in the very heart of Kraków’s Old Town Square, proved to be a pleasant surprise. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seafood spaghetti — an elegantly composed dish with a rich, velvety sauce that struck a fine balance between the sweetness of fresh tomatoes and the briny depth of the sea. Each bite delivered both comfort and complexity, a commendable execution for such a popular tourist location.
Price-wise, Molto manages to remain accessible, especially considering its prime location. The value aligns well with the quality, which is not always a given in the historic center.
An amusing twist came just before midnight, when the waiter half-jokingly advised me to flee with my plate to avoid a fine from the municipal authorities due to closing hour restrictions — a charming and memorable moment that added a layer of personality to the experience.
The only culinary misstep of the evening was the lemonade — lackluster in flavor and seemingly lacking the freshness one would expect. It stood in stark contrast to the otherwise well-curated menu.
All in all, Molto delivers more than it promises: satisfying cuisine in a bustling location, with touches of humor and heart. Worth a visit — preferably before the clock...
