The Spaghetti — Restaurant in Krakow

The place was empty, they put us at the worst table possible, right by the kitchen. The entirety of the rest of the restaurant was fully open. The pizza was okay, but that's because pizza is inherently good, and not because this pizza was especially excellent. It was 50zl per person for some pizza and some orange juice. To put this in perspective if you go to your local zabka, which isn't amazing but serves decent food, you can buy Carbonara 8zl, An entire pizza 13zl, 2 nice drinks 5zl and still have 26zl left over afterwards which you can use to buy another decent meal for 2. So whatever justification anyone can come up with for this place I'd like to hear it because I didn't taste any truffle on the pizza, not to mention they add in a little passive aggressive flier saying that service isn't included, which just tells me that the restaurant isn't paying their staff adequately and now it's my problem. So I'd genuinely avoid it if I were you because I don't see any of this as being reasonable. It might be the fault of the people renting out the property, it might be the fault of the owner, it might be any number of factors, but it's genuinely a rip off. If you're international then 50zl probably isn't that big a deal, because its around 10 Pounds or 12 Euro, it's just that for that price you'd probably get something absolutely stellar, and this definitely isn't the greatest experience I've had. It's only a 3 because the premises are at least semi decent, and the location is good, but I still don't think anyone should be paying this much. You can get a pizza across the river for the same price that literally has truffles on it, in comparison it's just not worth it. It's such a tourist trap that it's hard to even believe it. I've had far better experiences in terms of service loads of times before. It's all economically justifiable because of the prices or properties and demand, etc, but I just feel like I've been cheated, and I don't think it's okay given the circumstances. Today is 5th augest 22 at approx 6.30pm I have visited this restaurant AVOID FOR HEALTH REASONS, and i intend to get a response here publicly, As i ordered food with my wife and choose to use the toilets I passed where the waiters collect food a male waiter with a shaved head i caught eating food from someones plate before it was brought up and served TO THE PUBLIC its disgraceful and disgusting, i complained to two staff one male and one female, i asked for the manager upon sitting back at my table, one male waiter with a bun is his hair walked away and was seen laughing with another staff, no manager came, I explained to a female staff about the situation handing back a dish as i feared my plate was the one the staff was eating from because it looked like same dish i ordered before it was served, she said "ill get you the manager", again no one came, I asked after 35 mins for my bill plus not enjoying food as i felt sick from what i observed as seen as exceptional behavior by staff. By this time i seen the same disgraceful staff serve multiple peaple, if it was my restaurant he would have been sent off premises right away, the manager eventually came down and charged full bill, which i didn't mind, and said' sorry about that, I even pointed him out in front of her and she said sorry and walked away quite quickly, in my opinion they rely on tourist money avoid and go else where, this restaurant is a tourist trap, i come to Krakow 3 maybe 4 times a year and stay from 4 weeks to sometimes 8 weeks at a time, i will not not visit this restaurant again. Shame on you, i will seek futher advice and report to heath officers, unless i see a response here as to the outcome after I left, as i felt I was ignored in...

We called in the afternoon to book a table and was told that they are full as an egg. We passed from there later and asked for a table once more and was given 1 inside, which was nearly empty!!! As soon as we sat down, their waitress informed us, quote "We have a 12.5% service charge on groups" and left. We were a table of 8 and another of 4. The waiter that took our order was very arrogant and rude. He was huffing and puffing and looking angrily at us. We tried asking again about the service charge as we weren't sure what she said. This waiter, which later we found out, was their manager or supervisor started to roll his eyes. Those who ordered penne were told that it would be something else, and we had to ask several times for them to tell us what kind of pasta was available. Finally, when the food was served, those who had pasta, the serving was really poor and little compared to the price we paid. We had to later go and order Mc Donalds! We also asked to confirm that we ordered the main course. They told us that their policy is 120gr of pasta (which was very little), and it was up to us to ask the weight before ordering. Mind you, it was not written anywhere on the menu. When we paid, they did not give us any change back, and we had to ask for it! They even gave us less than what was due. Seeing such a horrible service, we asked for the rest and left no tips.
