Having eaten at so many restaurants all over Italy (and in many other countries) I wasn’t expecting much from an ‘Italian’ restaurant in the centre of Krakow old town. I can honestly say this restaurant was a hidden gem which we nearly didn’t go to due to to rather dark, graffiti covered tunnel we had to walk through to access the restaurant - we were so glad we did! The restaurant was lovely and cool on a hot day and had a lovely atmosphere. The very pleasant young lady who served us was extremely patient and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Our meals arrived quickly and were absolutely stunning. The price charged was more than fair especially given the much higher prices located very nearby around the old town square. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals which all in my party agreed were the best we had during our five day city break in the beautiful city of Krakow. I highly recommend this restaurant mainly because of the excellent food served but also because of the more than fair prices they charge for the food and the very attentive more than helpful service. One of the best pizzas me (and many in my party) had ever had. I have no criticism whatsover to make of this restaurant (very usual for me). Anyone visiting Krakow who loves Italian food should make a point of going a few steps away from the main square to eat here (don’t be put off by the surroundings such as the grafitti covered tunnel). Definitely worth at least one visit and had we not all been so tired from our organised trips around this area we would have gone to this restaurant...
Read moreWe decided to eat here because it was rated no1 on trip advisor at the time. The restaurant was fairly busy but we managed to get a table no problem. We sat outside next to the fire which was nice. There is a wide variety of pizzas to chose from and that’s what they are known for. My wife went with the pepperoni but I decided to have spaghetti with prawns. We got the focaccia as a side. The pizza was very good. Not greasy and it was flavoursome. However, based on the reviews I expected it to be a bit more special. My spaghetti dish was very tasty and had a lovely sauce. However, the focaccia was the worst I’ve ever had. It was very hard and didn’t have much flavour. Usually focaccia has a soft texture. We had to ask for oil because it was hardly edible without it. You would expect that the tasteless focaccia would come with balsamic vinegar. Our waiter was fine but there appeared to be friendlier ones in the restaurant with better chat. Overall we enjoyed our meal (apart from the side dish). It was a little pricier than some other restaurants that we have went to in krakow but it was...
Read moreWe came across this place as my daughter wanted a pizza night, so on reviews it came top for pizza! It's tucked away down the side bit of the main square (still on the main square not a side road) so you wouldn't know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The decor is lovely, we were there at 8pm and the fairy lights were on. We were lucky to get a table, so I'd advise to book ahead if you can, it's only a small place. Also if your advised to wait at the bar and have a drink- do it! The turn over is pretty quick. 3 different sets of people walked away instead of just waiting at the bar- tables get up and go quickly. Our waitress was fantastic, I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly, chatty and helpful. A credit to your team. We opted for pizza, and they were beautiful. Proper hand-stretched dough with a lovely flavourful sauce and good toppings. Came out pipping hot too which is always hard with restaurant pizza I think. Really reasonably priced. If you fancy a pizza, please head here to try one. You won't be...
