Restauracja Miód i Wino — Restaurant in Krakow

So me and my Wife were in Poland 🇵🇱 on a Winter break from our home in Manchester, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

We had been staying in the South of Poland in Zakopane but headed back to Krakow the day before we due to fly home so we booked an Airbnb in Krakow Old Town and we had Restaurant Miod I Wino on our door step so we headed in for food.

We were warmly greeted by a hostess who seated us in the restaurant, To drink I ordered a Local Beer 🍺 and my Wine ordered a glass of Red Wine 🍷.

A few minutes later the waitress brought our drinks which were well served and tasted delicious, A few minutes later the waitress returned and took our food order to start we shared a local smoked cheese 🧀 with Cranberries which came and it was absolutely delicious its a local dish and we had this on 4 separate occasions we highly recommend this dish.

For mains we ordered a huge steak kebab which came on a huge serving plate with sides and they play music and bang while bringing the dish out and wow what can we say 5he portions were huge and tasted delicious 😋.

Service was excellent, food and drink were amazing, Lovely decor inside and menu and food was very Authentic and generous portions, Restaurant was spotlessly clean and we really had a great experience and we highly recommend Restaurant Miod I...

TOURIST BE CAREFUL!! We were in this place 4 days last week. They had a good menu and it was fantastic option for us (group of students in a course). First day the attention was incredible, the waiter was pleasure and efficient and the food was really nice. For this reason we went there every day... But the last time was because the waiter (another one) was not polite. He didn't be paying attention for us and he was sit on the bar every time, he told us the menu was wrong and he offered a different meat (the same at the day before). It is not really nice when you take a sit at 13:00 and the kitchen has not prepared the menu food, I think in krakaw is time to having lunch. At least, the waiter gave us the bill, inside there was a little paper written by hand (service %). We were not so accord but we did not want to disturb. I asked to pay by card. When I was trying to pay he started to play with my credit card and joking with my colegues. Then he asked me for the pin and I put it there while he was doing some stolen jokes with the others. When I was outside I saw the recipe of my card, he had rounded and I paid almost 10 more furthermore the service %, We did not realize for his game with the credit card . We didn't come...

It with such a great shame I am writing this review. I have been going to Miod I Wino almost every time I was in Krakow and recommended it to countless people.

After making our order we waited for hour and a half for our food to arrive. During this time waiting staff did not update us about the food delay whatsoever did not ask us to top our drinks up. When the food eventually arrived it was cold. We were starving so ate. Sadly it is no lonelier a favourite it was and more importantly not a place I would recommend. The restaurant resembled a canteen with poorly trained staff.

The one thing I always like the was Shashlik served from the sword. It was not just great but a theatre served with flames and music everywhere.

I ordered it again and it was just left on tray in front of us. Two waitresses were struggling with serving it.

I am so gutted and it was such a let down. It seem the owners stopped caring and don’t train the staff.
