Restauracja O Sole Mio! — Restaurant in Krakow

Absolutely fantastic Italian restaurant — it almost made us want to burst into song :) The same location used to be home to “il piatto”, which was also very good, and not sure if this is a completely new team or a continuation, but either way it’s excellent. We started with shrimp and beef tartare as appetizers — both incredibly fresh and flavorful. We also tried three different soups from the menu, each with its own character. For mains, we went for spaghetti, tagliatelle, lasagna, and chicken cacciatore. The sauces were rich and well-balanced, the ingredients generous, and the pasta perfectly al dente with satisfying portions. They also offer some original Italian drinks, which made the experience even more authentic and fun. W nowo otwartej restauracji O Sole Mio' miałam przyjemność spróbować focacci w wydaniu Di Parma i muszę przyznać, że absolutnie podbiła moje podniebienie – delikatna, puszysta i przepyszna. To jedna z tych rzeczy, które chce się polecać każdemu. 💛 Ogromnym zaskoczeniem było dla mnie gazpacho – pełne smaku, które pojawiło się w nowej wkładce, aromatyczne, autentyczne, takie jakie pamiętam z podróży po południu Europy. 🍅🥒 Zachwyciło mnie także spaghetti carbonara – przygotowane na guanciale, z kremowym sosem z żółtek i pecorino romano. Smak samego makaronu jest tak wyjątkowy, że można by go jeść wyłącznie z masłem i serem. To dowód, że kuchnia tutaj opiera się na jakości i szacunku do włoskich tradycji. 🇮🇹 Podobno makaron jest robiony na miejscu.

Na deser koniecznie trzeba spróbować sernika baskijskiego – subtelny, kremowy, z charakterem, a jednocześnie w klimacie nowojorskiej klasyki. Prawdziwa przyjemność dla podniebienia. 🍰✨

We went for dinner early, restaurant was quiet. Staff very attentive but not obtrusive and helped me learn a little Polish.
