Stumbled across this place looking for somewhere to watch euro finals and decided to book it as there was availibility for 9 people (first time I brought my boyfriend and his family to Poland to meet my family). Place looked lovely with a nice beer garden. We’ve arrived on time 7pm, drinks order was taken but we waited for over an hour to order our food, we eventually managed to order food at 8.10pm, this did not arrive until 9pm, the time of the euro final starting which was not great as we have thought that allowing 2 hours to eat before the game would be more than enough, it would be in every single restaurant I have been to and worked in before for over 12 years. I went to ask for the bill and spoke to multiple members of staff about what happened and that clearly this was not a great experience for any of us. We got discounted 5% on over 1000 zloty bill which was simply a joke. No apology, no remorse and instead I have been told that there was only one chef on the shift. If I’d been told this before I’d probably choose a different place for dinner all together. I have asked for a round of drinks on house to make up for it and I haven’t seen the waiter for next 30 mins, a member of my party asked for drinks and they’ve been told by the waiter that they have to ask their manager first so we have sat for first half of the game with no drinks as no one bothered to speak to us. When I approached the waiter again he said ‘you can have more drinks but not for free’. At this point I just wanted to get a drink for my party. They have advertised that they are showing the game and were understaffed… place was busy, clearly a managerial issue. If we knew this would be the case we would go elsewhere however everywhere else was booked out and we wouldn't be able to get a place somewhere else to watch the game. My husband, has been to Poland, several times, for work. We wanted to do something special for his 70th Birthday and without hesitation, my husband suggested going to Poland for vacation. Having never been there, his family roots being from Poland, hearing all about his work trips, I jumped at the chance of going on vacation and celebrating his 70th birthday there. On the actual day of his birthday he wanted me to experience some authentic Polish cuisine. Since it was his birthday I told him to pick where he would like to go. After looking at several menus of nearby restaurants to our hotel, he found a place called Wrega. I can only say that this place was absolutely amazing. Our waiter, Dennis, was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Made several suggestions and helped with explaining the menu to us. My husband ordered the Pierogi Ruskie and I ordered the Kotlet Schabowy. So delicious! I mentioned that it was my husband's 70th Birthday. Dennis went above and beyond to make his day special! Bought out a sundae with a candle and a brownie and had the whole restaurant sing happy birthday to him. It was one of the best highlights of our vacation. Waited over 90mins after being said the wait time was 40mins waiter gave me a small coke and did not bother to ask me for another drink so for over 1..45hrs i had no drink and was starving. When looking at other reviews they cope and say over 100 ppl are in the garden however A. The garden was not full, B.100 people are not all ordering food at the same time. C. When you wait until 11pm for food there is no excuse. D. I have been to restaurants which have been busier than this and i have never waited until 11pm for food what a joke and at least they ask me if i want more than just one small drink.

Response to owner: To lie is not a good look for the establishment the garden does not fit 200 guests not even close the inside of the restaurant was empty too. furthermore, as a customer i should not be hunting down staff to ask them for a drink the customer at least expects to be attended to and asked for drinks, the staff should be taught basic customer service and try to attend to all guests however no attempt was made.
