What do I say about this restaurant. This is the best I have discovered in whole Krakow. I belong from India and Nepal both so I have got along with both tastes and trust me they are outstanding in every case. The taste, the size of dishes, the price, the atmosphere, the gentleness and whole environment is highly captivating and I couldn't stop myself from going there as many times as I could and behold myself with a damn tasty Mango Lassi along with other dishes. I tried Chicken Biryani and spare no words it was one of the best I ever ate. Such good taste in rice with high level of cooking skills and good amount of tandoori like chicken that holds you on nerves. Choose medium spicy because trust me it would be damn spicy to go for the most ;). The owner who is just like a student along with his brother are doing a very real fine business here, I had a good chat with them, very universal and good people whom I would always support. Will visit again as many times as I can along with my whole family next time. Thank you Vatti for a fantastic food fall on my head :D And also I recommended this restaurant to my hotel manager when asked about my experiences here and he noted it down to recommend new guests to go try food there if they want to try some amazing foreign food. Well, Love you guys and...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly awful. First, the garlic roti — it was supposed to be this flavorful, crispy flatbread, but it was completely bland. There was hardly any garlic, and it was chewy rather than crispy. It honestly felt like it was made hours before and reheated.
The so-called "spicy lamb" was another huge disappointment. I was expecting something flavorful with a decent amount of heat, but the lamb had no spice whatsoever. It was bland, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting in a pot for too long. Even the supposed sauce had no depth of flavor. I couldn’t taste any seasoning or heat, just tough meat and a lack of effort.
To make matters worse, the food arrived 30 minutes late. At that point, I was already frustrated, but when I finally dug in, I wished I hadn’t bothered. Everything just tasted like it had been rushed or forgotten about.
Overall, the meal was a huge letdown. For the price, I expected so much better. There was no passion or care in the food preparation, and I definitely won’t be ordering...
Read moreTop-notch Nepali/Indian cuisine, in an unsuspecting locale... It's one of those places that you'll likely just walk by - a door leading down to a flight of steps, and nothing to tell you that there is anything down there other than an easily overlookable billboard. What's worse, it's near one of the crazier intersections in the city, just before the bridge.
Overlooking this would be a mistake, because the food is stellar. The flavors are spot on, the consistencies just right, and everything Just Works. The straight up "Indian" stuff is really good (dal makhani, biryani, saag paneer, tandoori ..., whatnot), but so is the Nepali and "Indian Chinese".
So yeah, if you're in the 'hood, you should go!
Note: The ventilation in here is, well, non-existent. So, be prepared for that (the point being, the tandoori ... is going to sputter oil in the air, and you and your clothes are going to walk out smelling a bit of whatever you and the others had...
