A lucky find while strolling the historic cobblestone streets of Torun led me to an absolutely stellar dining experience. The moment I saw the sign announcing that the chef had been featured on "Top Chef," I knew I had to give it a try. I'm so glad I did, because this was, without a doubt, the best meal I've had in all of Poland.

From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was flawless. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of cozy charm and refined elegance, and the service was impeccable—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm.

The food, however, was the true star of the show. Every dish was executed with a level of precision and creativity that was simply breathtaking. The absolute highlight of my meal was the chilled beet root soup. This wasn't just soup; it was a work of art. The cool, earthy sweetness of the beet was perfectly balanced by the vibrant, refreshing kick of a delicate cucumber sorbet. The masterful blend of flavors and textures was a testament to a chef who truly understands how to surprise and delight the palate.

Our lunch was made even more special when the chef himself came to our table to chat and see how we were enjoying everything. His friendly and personable nature made the experience feel incredibly intimate and personal.

We came back to Restauracja Piernicova for the second time—our first visit was last year—and once again, it was an unforgettable experience. This place is truly a gem. From the first moment to the last bite, everything feels intentional, warm, and genuinely special. One of the things that makes this restaurant stand out is the chef-owner himself. He personally visits every table, not just to check in, but to truly connect. He takes time with each guest, shares a moment, and often mentions how proud he is of his team—which makes the whole experience even more beautiful. You can feel the heart behind this place in every interaction. And the food… absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. You can tell that each element is carefully thought through. From the starters to the mains and dessert, everything was balanced, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Cocktails are creative and refined, complementing the menu perfectly. For a high-end restaurant, the pricing is honestly very fair. The quality, presentation, and overall experience far exceed what you’d expect at this price point. It’s elevated dining that still feels welcoming and accessible. When we arrived, all tables on the main floor was reserved or occupied. We were then seated upstairs. I’m so glad that we were seated there. Since the kitchen is view, the chef came over to our table and made recommendations for the night. Everything he suggested… we ordered.

For starters we had the sorrel cream soup. The flavor and crispness of the bacon along with the omelette and cottage cheese was just a great combination. I think I danced the entire time eating this dish because it was so good. We also had the house bread. I’m not sure what the white spread was, but I smothered the bread in it, and it was DELICIOUS 😋! For drinks we had a porn star martini and tea. Great choices. Main dish we had a medium rare steak, with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. SO GOOD! I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I couldn't ask for more! The restaurant has a very warm feel and the food was amazing. The servers were very attentive and polite. The chef was phenomenal. I honestly felt like I received 5 star treatment considering I was able to talk to one of the TOP CHEFS.

I will definitely go back to this restaurant and highly recommend for anyone looking...
