This place is a great example, showing us how most of the cheap and affordable restaurants looked like, during the communism time in Poland. They were used mostly by students and working class. It is truly an extraordinary, return to the past experience, I would say strait into 1970s. First we have to pick our dish from the big menu placed on the wall. If there is no price next to the dish then it means that this dish is not available at this moment. Second step, we go to the service till and pay for our choice(don't bother asking to make some changes to the dish) Third step is to go to the dish food out window. Now we'll have a chance to see how all food is prepared. Magical place really, only elves are missing. Everything is freshly cook everyday. Food Standard Agency is very strict in Poland so the place is safe to dine in. For the sake of an experience or if you are on a budget then you should visit this place. You'll get your calories and it won't cost you much. Food is OK and only OK, nothing breathtaking. You should try it at least once while visiting Warsaw. Service is rather curt and not really bovvered - just accept it and enjoy your trip...

I went at a quiet time but was confusing you place an order then hand receipt to kitchen and then listen out ,modern day equivalent is the vibration discs. I think at busy times it would be overwhelming if multiple people ordered same thing.
And goodness... what a eclectic variety of customers...
Suggest pictures of the main dishes to manage expectations.
Johny foreigners you'll need to utilise Google image translator for the menu
The symbol on Google maps (cocktail glass) denotes Bar and not cutlery to indicate it's a (milk)restaurant so may be overlooked by some.
Staff seem pleasant and industrious, no English and no attempt to accommodate but not in a rude way, staff are decent...
