British Bulldog Pub — Restaurant in Warsaw

This pains me to write but I used to love this place... staff are a mixed bag, some are ok, others are just rude.

Yesterday, I booked a table for 4 to watch the football. We arrived, and there was a mess up with the tables. It was resolved relatively quickly, but I got the impression that we were just an inconvenience for them. We were taken to a table piled with plates and cups from the previous people, and they cleared half of it... there were empty plates still when we left 2 hours later.

Next, we went to the bar to get drinks and order food. Getting drinks was fine, but only one bartender behind the bar during a match... took some time, but it's not really an issue. I also asked for food but was told to go to the guy at the end of the bar to order. I did, he said "tables"... one word... sure, I went and sat down, 45 minutes passed. My partner gets up and goes to the bathroom, and on her way back, she asks again, he said "tables" again. He then pushes past her, elbows her out of the way. This is the first time this guy has moved since we got there... no one was coming to the tables... so I went up and had to persuade the guy to either take my order or come to the table... finally, he let me order there and pay immediately...

Food took 25 minutes, fine and was very tasty, and of good size.

So, we have a beer and a bite to eat surrounded by the previous people empty, dirty plates...

If it was a cheap place, I would not care, but it's not a cheap place... also, it's a great location, for sure. But for the love of God, train your staff, or have more.

There's a lovely Irish bar down the road called the Emerald... they do football, food and drink. GO...

Worse pub in Warsaw! Absolutely bad customer service … We were 3 people, it took over 20 min for appetizers and almost 40min for a burger even though the place was more than half empty. After long waiting time the food arrived also cold and one of us decided not to eat cause uneatable. Burgers were served also without sauces and with dry meat that made the entire burger hard to eat and harder to digest. At the time of the bill we complained about cold food that was not touched and could not be sent back because the waiter didn’t show up for a long while but he refused to remove the meal from the bill. After that we were told we could neither split the bill because of restaurant policy written in the menu… but the rule clearly said “for groups starting from 5 people there is 10% service and no split of the bill”… but we were only 3 therefore such rule was not applicable. After an embarrassing comment by the waiter saying I don’t make the rule we asked to call the owner but he refused and then we asked to call the police…. We waited almost 1 hr but the police didn’t show up and the waiter kept behaving like we were not even there. We decided to pay in order not to spend the night over there… but 1 thing is sure, we’ll do our best so that somebody from Sanepid or the customer union will pay them a well deserved visit for cheating foreign customers with poor quality...

It has been ”our” sports bar since 2017. 5 years of games and memories. DOZENS of visits and games.

The way the owners destroyed the legend is worth those words.

1/ food. I used to say they have the best beef of all the bars (not the restaurants). Now it is mediocre.

2/ tempo. It took them 55 minutes to get us the starters today. No chance for the second beer in the meantime.

3/ service. They get rid of all the old staff. The brand new waitress, complained today she had 20 tables to serve. One beer served for one half of the match. She didn't have a time to come to us for the second time :(

After our complains one of the waiters came and was aggressive. He didn't want to serve us any more as we ”dont understand we need to wait and they made us an honor that we could seat”. He requested the imidiate payment. It was after the first half of the game.

The waiter was rude and unprofessional. Very rare level for Poland these days. I would recommend the career in russia for this fellow.

This is the bar for tourist and they don't want you to be back.

Place is suitable only if you want to stand and see the game with one beer in hand. No chance for atmosphere or professionalism.
