The staff is terrible. Trying not to judge as maybe they just had a bad day but I’ve been here twice to try it out in the last 6 months. After a strange first experince, I wanted to give it a second try.
As others have previously written - no smiles, no hello, they don’t give you directions on where to get a menu or how to order. They’re not rude - more so just don’t care at all 0% which is almost worse. If I wasn’t a customer, it would actually be impressive how little they care about clients.
During my time eating I saw another another customer treated the exact same way when asking about sauces - it was a nonverbal shrug response of “not my problem, are you stupid, figure it out on your own”
The food is well prepared although very heavy on the meat substitutes which makes it a bit hard to consume in large quantities.
When I asked if I could get any dishes with vegetables and rice the response was “no” - when I asked why not they said “it’s not on the menu” and proceeded to tell me I had to get tofu or Seitan. I then asked if they have any types of vegetables in the kitchen - the response was - “no”. This makes no sense as the dishes with tofu and seitan have vegetables… I just wanted them to make it without tofu or seitan which is apparently not possible.
My assessment is - very strange place and I will not be returning a 3rd time. Considering all the other food vegan options in the city I would encourage you to look elsewhere if you want a pleasant dinning experience.
if I had to guess most folks are doing delivery and are never interacting with the staff which is the reason for so many positive reviews.
I will say the recent interior renovations are nice, but they don’t make up for the lack of...
Read moreReally tasty food, all vegan. I just wish that they were a little more gluten free friendly. There are no depictions in the menu of what is gluten free and what isn't and when I asked a waiter it was a little difficult to get a straight answer. She just proposed one dish and I didn't really know what is it until I received it and it was a little disappointing. Not what I imagined. Maybe if she would just say the name of the dish then that would be easier and I could look it up. So the soup was very light and water, but tasty nonetheless, but I wanted something more filling and with more protein. At the end I took Pad Thai for takeout and I must admit it was probably the best Pad Thai that I had ever. And it was quite filling and rich in protein so then I was satisfied. I'm not sure tho if it was completely gluten free or not... I think most of the dishes are with soy sauce and it usually contains wheat flour and that's why it's a little tricky. I just wish that I could talk about it more easily with someone and get straight answers. Anyways, still recommend this place wholeheartedly, just a few things to keep in mind. You might have to come a couple of time and order different stuff untill you find something that you really like and is your...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant, especially given Thai cuisine’s reputation for light, flavorful, and well-balanced vegan dishes. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that.
From the start, the service felt indifferent. We were handed an English menu with no guidance or explanation about the dishes. Perhaps I made a poor menu choice, but the hostess showed no interest in helping us navigate the offerings.
I ordered the tom yum soup expecting the classic clear, tangy broth—what I received instead was a greasy, heavy mixture dominated by oil and coconut milk (photo). It sat uncomfortably in my stomach, and I felt nauseated for the rest of the afternoon. The rest of the dishes were similarly heavy and oily. Additionally, the excessive thirst we experienced afterward suggests the food may have contained high levels of MSG.
Overall, I left disappointed, both by the food and the lack of care in service. I would not recommend this place for those seeking authentic, clean, and satisfying...
