The concept of the restaurant is really good. You get a piece of paper and mark all the ingredients you want to add to your pasta. Each pasta is made in a wheel of cheese, like Alfredo. I like that they have an open kitchen where you can watch how they prepare fresh pasta. I love Fettuccine Alfredo, and after seeing this place on Instagram, I decided to visit.
In reality, the place disappointed me. The service was good, and I think the staff does a great job. I accept the fact that the place is small, and you need to wait for your order number to be announced. Initially, I was told that I would need to wait 40-45 minutes for my pasta, which I agreed to. However, I then heard from other customers that the waiting time had increased to an hour.
I ordered pasta with shrimp around 3 PM on Saturday, but later I was informed that they were out of shrimp and was asked to choose something else. I was sad, but after reading other comments about people arriving later and finding they were out of all ingredients and closed, I felt somewhat lucky.
So, I chose pasta with chicken, pepper, and an extra portion of Parmesan. I didn't like that it didn't taste like real Fettuccine Alfredo. It was not bad, but it lacked that creamy, cheesy sauce. As you can see from the photo, it looks like boiled pasta, and when you taste it, it feels like it spent only five seconds in the cheese wheel. Despite adding extra Parmesan, it didn’t improve. The chicken and pepper were nice, but I would have preferred more of them or less pasta to achieve a better balance.
I would recommend the restaurant add more cheese to the sauce and increase the amount of ingredients, even if it costs a bit more for...
Read moreThe pasta and the sauce were truly incredible. Large portions, slightly overpriced (what isn’t nowadays?) though. The only downside of the food was the oversalted shrimp… The idea for making it a to-go dish was interesting, though it would be more enjoyable if you also had the option to eat the meal on a regular plate with a regular fork. The seats/chairs were uncomfortable to seat on and the table seemed too low for a regular-hight person. The cook/service was friendly though after entering it was confusing how we should go about ordering the food (would someone approach us or should be order (and pay right away?) by the counter) as well as it was not very clear what language we should use to place the order. Overall would come back again to try the pasta with different...
