Piec Na Szewskiej — Restaurant in Wrocław

Pizza a quite good size for the price, quite good, but a bit thin and bordering on soggy in the middle. Toppings somewhat stingy but some chefs say 'less is more' with pizza toppings and it was at least moist and tasty, notwithstanding the sogginess in some places (but that did not detract from the pizza, it was still good). However, it was obvious that there there was very little mushroom (perhaps 5 thin slices), ditto the basil leaves. The flavour was good, though. The crust has a very slight after-taste and tends towards heaviness - a taste I could tire of. Also, too much crust at the edges had no sauce or topping - both should reach to within 1-2 cm of the rim/edge Service was fast, polite and good - just 2 or 3 mins wait for a table but a short queue formed later and some waited 10-15 mins. A note for veggies or vegans: I definitely noted the same hand dressing pizzas with grated cheese or parmesan and salad leaves after baking with hands that also placed ham or other mea slices on to pizzas. Some veggies would not like that one bit....

I always choose where to eat by a friend’s advice or Google ratings. Ratings was my main reason coming here. Unfortunately I wont be able to rate as high as many for Pizza. I ordered Puttanesca, size was good but its more tomate souce than ingredients. Scattered olives, capers, peppers and other ingredients for this specific pizza. So its more base pizza than ingredient rich one; maybe my bad choice or chef was not in a good mood today for this one :) cause many people rated here 5 stars. Service was really good and ambiance as well. Price-quality balance is ok, but dont expect much from Puttanesca. Hot (chili) olive oil was one of the best I have ever had in a Pizzeria !

Highly recommend, but in the end I was disappointed. Going out for a lunch/dinner it's not always about the food. Place should be pleasant and with a good atmosphere. Terrible service, I didn't listen: Hello; welcome; maybe the pizza it will take 40 minutes to arrive, you might order a starter or a drink; thank you; sorry for the delay; NOTHING! When I wanted to pay, the waitress told me to go inside and pay. The cashier asked me the number of my table or where I stayed. This task should be performed by the person who served us. She should tell him where I was located. No one smiled at us in this place.
