Edit 2:As you seem to have made no attempt at apologising, for your completely arrogant response, I feel compelled to answer again. If someone in with that many years experience in your own industry is left feeling cheated and dissapointed, you really need to look at your own standards closer.
Out of over 120 reviews that I've posted in the last 8 years on Google, maybe 5 have been negative.
At what point in our stay did you think me or my family were from the Ukraine? So your saying if I was from there I'm somehow less able to judge the quality or quantity of dishes. If you need to recommend that someone orders a side portion of Cabbage on the menu, clearly the portions are too small. There mustn't have been more than 60gr of beef in that dish. Is it wagyu beef? because that would be the only reason for it to be such a tiny portion. It just tasted like the cheapest cut of beef wrapped around supermarket quality Bacon and Gerkins.
We visited on Valentines day to celebrate our 5th anniversary with my daughter and wife. At first impression the place looks warm and inviting from outside. Initially we were served by a young lad that was very pleasant and helpful. Ordered drinks and carried on looking at the menu to decide. A second older waitress came over to take our food order, who seemed a little less enthusiastic about us being there. She seemed quite upset that my daughter ordered chocolate pierogi as a main dish. I understand that it's on the desert section but without a kids menu I'm not sure what she expected an 11 year old to order on a menu full of old world Polish dishes that are well known to be quite substantial portions. My wife ordered the lunch set of rosół and schabowe. I ordered rolada Śląska with a side of kapusta smażona. The rosół came out promptly from the kitchen and was of a very high standard, so we were looking forward to our mains. My daughters pierogis passed the test as she's extremely fussy. Wife schab also looked good although a little on the small side, understandable as its a special dinner set. My Rolada was a complete joke, it was a small middle of the road standard zraz cut in half, with 7 tiny kluski covered in a mediocre quality gravy. The kapusta was pretty poor too. You can get better food from a bar mleczny, for a very small fraction of the price. My dish came to 80 zł as the kapusta was an extra 12 zł, and honestly I was still hungry when I finished. Maybe they serve smaller portions to the tourists as a table of seemingly well off poles next to us had huge portions on there plates. I was very disappointed to...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. The Zurek (rye soup in bread bowl) was inedible - overly sour, oily, and thick, to a point where it was disgusting. We sent it back and they still charged us for it without letting us know they would be doing so. Then they argued with us that this is the Chef’s recipe and it’s supposed to be gross. Tatar wasn’t seasoned well, we had to ask for salt & pepper. Duck was fine, but the sauce for it also had a thick layer of oil.
Update in response to the restaurant’s rude comment on this review: I’m Polish, I’ve had żurek in many restaurants and also homemade. The sourness when done well is delicious. Of course tartar is meant to be prepared by the restaurant patron. However, I had to request salt & pepper since it was under-seasoned (clearly since I had to request it, you didn’t mean for me to add that in). There wasn’t enough pickle, onion, or any additions to the meat. I even cut up some of the onion that was meant to be as a serving cup for the egg yolk, and not added to the tartar. I’ve visited hundreds of restaurants across 30+ countries, both Michelin star and hole in the wall. I think you should evaluate what’s wrong with your cooking instead of assuming that the customer is wrong and insulting them by saying they should eat at McDonald’s. There’s a difference between adding fat to food correctly to make it more flavorful, and having a layer of grease sitting on top of soups & sauces...
Read moreA standout restaurant in Wrocław that brings the flavors of pre-war Lower Silesia to life. Special thanks to our server Emilia and the beautiful ladies at this establishment for a wonderful and memorable experience 🙏🏼
Located at Szewska 59/60, just steps from the Market Square, it offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with rustic decor and a menu steeped in regional history.
The restaurant specializes in traditional dishes like Wrocław-style bigos, Silesian Heaven (a hearty combination of pork, bacon, and dried fruits), and hekele (a herring tartare). Their pierogi, including duck-filled options, are a highlight, and the żurek served in bread is particularly comforting. The menu also features seasonal soups and mains, all crafted from local ingredients. For drinks, they offer regional beers, wines from nearby vineyards, and house-made flavored schnapps.
Inspired by the works of local author Marek Krajewski, Wrocławska aims to recreate the culinary traditions of old Wrocław. The multi-level space is suitable for both casual meals and special events, with options for private gatherings and business functions.
Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. The restaurant is pet-friendly and offers amenities like free Wi-Fi and outdoor seating.
Overall, Wrocławska offers a rich, flavorful journey into the region’s culinary past, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic Polish...
