A Nossa Casa — Restaurant in Aveiro

It was suggested I visit this restaurant 7 minutes from my hotel at The Americas last evening. I was seated quickly and served an ice cold draft in a frosty cold glass.👍. I ordered many different items including the seafood rice, the baby clams, the toasted vegetables and a spring salad. It did not disappoint. Everything was served quickly and the waiter was friendly and fabulous. I enjoyed every mouthful and told the server and the cook it was the best restaurant meal I had ever enjoyed my entire life!! I’m a food snob and do not please easily. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant, you will be very glad you did. Saw someone get the “special seafood with rice” at least that is how it translates. And so we tried it… wow, it’s definitely seafood and quite the experience to try all the different seafood in a heavy broth! 😋 🤤 But, all though it says for two people I think it will feed four people! 💪🏽 (Confirmed when the family of 4 sat down next to us two and ordered the same thing) We couldn’t even finish half… all though I sure tried!

Obviously a super local place as we saw the staff recognize many people. However, even with the language barrier and packed out restaurant we were treated really well! Highly recommended if you want some family dining. 😎

It was something over us. We got the info about this place from a local guy. We sat down, ordered the fruit of the sea for 2 person, and waited. The train back to Porto was about to leave in 2 hours. It was a mistake. Don't order with a limited time at this place. The dish arrived. We ate. Both of us had some culinary experiences on seafood. This one was above all. The table was a mess. We ate continuously. Still the dish contained some of the world's most delicious seafood. Finally we realized that the last train leaves.
