Saw someone get the “special seafood with rice” at least that is how it translates. And so we tried it… wow, it’s definitely seafood and quite the experience to try all the different seafood in a heavy broth! 😋 🤤 But, all though it says for two people I think it will feed four people! 💪🏽 (Confirmed when the family of 4 sat down next to us two and ordered the same thing) We couldn’t even finish half… all though I sure tried! Obviously a super local place as we saw the staff recognize many people. However, even with the language barrier and packed out restaurant we were treated really well! Highly recommended if you want some family dining. 😎 Basically the restaurant name translates “at our home”. So eat like you are at our home!

Had to wait in the line for about 20-30 minutes, and the prices for meals are on a higher side, but it worth every penny! Fresh seafood, amazing food, excellent service despite the place is very busy. The rice with seafood (shrimps, lobsters, giant mussels, tomato sauce, rice) comes in a big pot, and can easily feed 4 people. Wine, beer, espresso, desserts are very inexpensive, almost grocery store prices. We left happy.

Espectacular ! Éramos cuatro adultos, buscando en Google sitios en aveiro donde comer sapateira (buey de mar), pues como todo el mundo Nos salió este, total nos vinimos a ver qué tal y nada más llegar el camarero ( Miguel se llama el hombre) muy amable nos puso una mesa y nos atendió súper rápido Le preguntamos que nos recomendaba, pregunto que íbamos a comer si carne, pescado o marisco, nos decantamos por marisco y nos enseño una mariscada ( creó récords que nos dijo para dos) pero que para los cuatro estaba bien, pues cuando la trajo bien no era la palabra, era tremenda, comimos los cuatro y sobró, muy a mi pesar que soy de buen comer, pero no bastaba con eso que dejamos un hueco para el postre Volvimos a pedir a Miguel que nos recomendase y nos trajo dos cosas a cuál más rico a la hora de la cuenta, para lo que comimos, percebes, langosta, buey de mar….. súper bien En resumen sitio limpísimo, comida rica rica, y servicio de 10, 100% recomendable, lo esencial de un restaurante es la cómoda, pero si vas y el servicio es pésimo té lo piensas antes de repetir o de recomendarlo, pero no es el caso tanto Miguel como el resto muy resolutivos y rápidos ( cosa poco como en Portugal)

I totally recommend this restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was great. We had starters and a bottle of the lovely Planalto wine. For main we opted for the Cataplana and it was absolutely delicious. The gentleman serving us was so friendly and fun, made us feel very welcome. What an amazing dinner we had. A place to certainly come back every time we go to Aveiro.

The fried octopus was UH-MAH-ZING! A little Bridy told me the owner used to work at my other favorite in town Mare Cheia! This place does NOT disappoint. The fried Pulpo (octopus comes with a pot of seafood rice and was 35€ for 2 persons). It was PERFECT! Not to salty and quite tender. WIll definitely be back! And is now another favorite in our city!

Traditional food where you will find local people. When we entered the restaurant, there were only a few tables occupied and when we left the restaurant was full. The portions are huuuuge and tasty at an affordable price. This is not a restaurant for tourists so if you go there, you will better immerse in the lifestyle of Portuguese people.
