Bar Number Two — Restaurant in Funchal

Extremely disappointed. Last night of holiday and 4th time to the Island visiting family. I'd say I'm used to drinking Poncha, especially Pescador. I can even make it. However, what we were all served was weak and tasted watered down. We asked for new round as wondered if it was last from jug but suspect we got the same lot re poured. When we spoke to the bar man, he said it was maybe different lemons from different parts of the island. I think we were treated poorly and not even offered a refund. Customer service was no care attitude. The bar No 2 in Câmara de lobos was much better and tasted how locals say it should. Will not visit funchal location again but if I do I'll make sure to watch...

So here’s a list for you:

It has a TERRIBLE environment; The Poncha was a joke, plain orange juice; Bartenders were very rude, avoidant, and would spill drinks constantly; The music way too loud unnecessarily; We got harassed by the small GeorgeConstanza DJ when trying to get to the bathroom, aggressively claiming and screaming we weren't clients and therefore couldn’t use it, making a scene.

All in all a huge lack of professionalism and consideration for their clients, making you feel ignored and unwelcome.

Ordered 3 drinks just to quickly drink and go to walk by the port. It took them 25minutes to deliver 3 drinks while not being extremely busy. The waiter forgot one of our drinks and came back basically barking what we wanted for that one drink he was unsure of. Then didn’t brink any peanuts of anything while all the other tables with drinks had some. Once I asked to pay I was forgotten until another waiter came to ask how are we doing. The drinks were average and the atmosphere there was nice, bit I can’t really say I felt...
