I have to say, our visit to this restaurant was an amazing experience for the whole family. The food was beautiful and value for money. We went to a more expensive restaurant and actually enjoyed our food more at this restaurant. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. They told us some lovely stories, very interesting. When we asked questions about the foods we were unfamiliar with, they brought them out to show us and told us about them. We loved our experience at this restaurant and will definitely return before we leave. We got fillet steak for €19.50 and it was cooked perfectly and it was huge. The two sides were lovely that accompanied the dish. Can’t wait to try the next dish.

Our best meal in Madeira, and we tried many different places. The fish stew (calderada) was out if this world, I've never tasted broth like that. I will always dream of the fish stew here! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it - too busy eating it. Everything else was also delicious: we got veal and scabbard fish. We were recommended this restaurant by a local. Service was the most excellent I've ever encountered too. The waiters and waitresses working here are extremely elegant and professional. We felt pampered. Truly one of the best meals of my life. Thanks to everyone at this restaurant for performing your jobs so excellently.

We came here for dinner three times. The first time was by accident, but after that we didn't want to go anywhere else. We couldn't find any fault, the food is divine, fresh, my little son ate a fish called pargo for the first time in his life, which he could choose before. The appetizer, the rosé wine, the main course and the side dishes are all divinely delicious, very well prepared! The servant was kind, friendly and welcomed me as a friend for the third time. I just recommend them to everyone, don't let your time in Madeira pass without stopping by here for a good meal!

We went to O regional because we wanted to try the espada fish speciality (with banana or passionfruit). The restaurant was good rated so we gave it a go. The waiter was nice but the food didn’t match our expectancy. First as starter we took bolo de caco with garlic and some melon and jamon, but the price for these is, in my opinion, way to high for what we had (4euros for small pieces of bread and garlic and more than 10euros for the other with no big quantity and just ok taste) The fish was nice but the salad on the side didn’t feel fresh and the potatoes are steamed with some garlic and herbs (that’s normal with the dish) The profiterolles were okay with nice quantities but the price also was high. The poncha is really strong (compared to other we had on...

Very nice place in the heart of Funchal’s Old Town, with a view of beach promenade, tasty dishes, super-friendly staff and so on. But remember one thing: if a table with daily offer in front of the restaurant catches your attention, there probably won’t be prices stated on it. Then go and ask the staff about it. And when you later after the meal receive a bill, check it thoroughly - there is high chance it will differ from what you’ve been offered and lured inside. Don’t let them get away with it and demand a bill correction. For someone, it might be “just a couple of €” not worth an argument, but it can buy you a drink or two elsewhere. Thus 3 stars only. This event kinda annoyed me on our last...
