Beautiful interior, super friendly service—but I left feeling a bit scammed.
A latte in Funchal is usually around €1.50, and here it was €3—fair enough. But my iced latte somehow turned into €4.50: €0.50 for a flimsy paper takeaway cup that isn’t even made for iced drinks. €1 extra for choosing a normal latte-sized cup instead of a cappuccino one—something the menu conveniently forgot to mention.
I asked if the price hike was for a double espresso, they said yes… but my taste buds strongly disagree. So basically, I paid an extra euro for a couple of ice cubes and some milk.
