We were visiting Lagos and happened to stumble on this restaurant for lunch. The first time we ate there was so good we came back a second time but at dinner.

During lunch, we had momos, chow mein, and crispy duck. The momos were excellent, we had the steam kind. The chow mein was good and the crispy duck was delicious. The service speed was great and the staff were nice. Overall a great experience which had us coming back.

The second time wasn’t as great. The time it took to bring us our food was quite long, which is understandable since the room was crowded, plus the server was really nice. However, the momos were a bit tasteless and we weren’t sure that they were fresh, but some of us still found them good, although they weren’t as mind blowing as the first time. We took the momo vegan combo and the noodle at the center were pretty dry. The crispy duck wasn’t as crispy as the first time and it was a bit cold, the pork rice noodles were good but that’s all, they were a tad dry, nothing a bit of soy sauce couldn’t fix. The thali were not bad (as said my father, which means that they were pretty good.) Although, my plate, the egg chow mein was excellent, one of the best I’ve ever had. I wasn’t that hungry and I wiped the plate clean. Another great thing is that the portions were huge for a really reasonable price. Even while taking in account all of this, the food was still great and I would come back in a heartbeat. :)

In the end, the food was great, the space as well as the staff were nice and I would come while it’s not too busy to get...

LITERALLY THE WORSE PLACE EVER. Don’t even think of going here, worst staff and worst kitchen. We are two vegetarian people who ordered vegetarian momos and these dumb people gave us chicken momos. We never had meat in our lives before this day. food was horrible, the kitchen was unapologetic and it was the worst experience I have ever had. This place should shut down and I am going to report them for dietary restriction negligence.

Reply to the comment made my Momo Express: You were shocked? Excuse me but you were saying "yes it had chicken but it has already happened, what can you do now". Amazing apology by the way. And are you justifying serving us meat, just because other people in the group could eat meat? We ordered a vegetarian dish separately. Are you saying you will serve someone nuts with a nut allergy just because other people dining in the group did not have nut allergy? What sort of logic is that? You will serve a muslim or jew person pork because they are sitting and eating with non-muslim people who do eat pork? HOW ARE YOU EVEN ALLOWED TO OPERATE?? SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN before you kill people and/or destroy...

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience from the moment we walked in. We were given a tiny table near a loud kitchen when the restaurant was only half full and clearly plenty of other tables were available ( they remained empty till we left). Our request to be moved soon as we sat down was declined as well.

The thali that we ordered for mains came out before we finished our starters hence we were left struggling to find room for the plates on our tiny table. The thali did not come as described in the menu as it was missing potatoes, buckwheat finger chips, jimboo and ghee,( these are particularly described on the menu). Not to mention, the taste was very blunt.

The manager/chef was very apologetic and offered to replace our food as we complained which we appreciated but it was already too late for that. Lastly, the bill took 20 minutes to arrive after we had to ask for it 3 times.

The starters were good, the staff are friendly and the location is very nice. A bit of work on better management and menu descriptions would do wonders...

We spent five days in Lagos and ate more than 100 Dumplings at this restaurant within that period. The steamed chicken dumplings are extraordinary good and they are served with a wonderful chutney. I can also recommend the chicken chowmein and the special chicken curry. If you like spicy and hot food you should ask Krishna for a special hot chutney and you will enjoy even more. The waiter was the friendliest we had in Lagos. You can chose between two places to sit on either side of the road. If you like to relax, on one side you are welcomed with meditative music and a warm peaceful vibe. On the other side of the road it's a bit more busier and lit. But wherever you sit - for us, this was the best restaurant in Lagos, with authentic Nepalese food and a very warm and hospitable waiter. We packed even food for the flight back and we wished we knew a similar place in Germany. Forget the beaches and the caves - this restaurant should be your first stop in Lagos!

This place is tiny and a bit off the crowd. We had a quick lunch and have been positively surprised by the very welcoming staff. The food is a mix of several cultures ranging from Asia to India with a Portuguese adaptation sometime may be. This is very cheap and food is good. If you get bored of the Portuguese cuisine you can definitely make a stop there and have some exotic tastes. You can ear the cook working on its wok while the dishes arrives, so it is mostly made to order. We enjoyed this lunch and the friendly of the place. We tested noodles topped with crispy duck and crispy chiken, pouring a local excellent pistachio mild sauce over it, those chow mein have been quickly eaten and washed down with a Lassi mango. Will taste the Indian curries next time, I am a spicy lover and the chef - if you ask for it - will release the hot fire on demand, seeing his happy face when you ask for extra extra spicy is something worth another visit just for this.
