Acarajé da Carol — Restaurant in Lisbon

Very very delicious authentic Brazilian food but beware of the spicy sauce! It’s unnecessarily strong, if you not used to spicy do not eat or you’ll be spitting fire for 10min. Removed a star also due to not offering the payment options they advertise. I had to withdraw money in the end cus they say they accepted Amex in the front (which was the main reason to go eat there) but in reality they don’t.

Edit: what was told by your waiter did not reflex the strength of that sauce and the people on the table next to me was also saying it was way too hot, they just didn’t tell you idk why. Unfortunately not a good experience. We had to wait to be seated, which seemed to be worth it considering the reviews.. once seated, we ordered- we made sure to inform about an allergy to shrimps… all seemed ok, as they have other choices in the menu. They served us the drinks and after a few more minutes, the waiter came to inform us that unfortunately, they can’t serve us any of the meals from the menu, because there can be contact with shrimps… (even for meat recipes ?!) .. I am happy they actually were honest about it but .. which restaurant can’t prepare recipes for allergic people!? it should be out of...

Uma explosão de sabor e sentimento! Ôxe, minha gente, eu não posso deixar de contar as experiências incríveis que sempre tenho quando vou no Acarajé da Carol! Aquele lugar, viu, é um pedacinho autêntico da Bahia aqui pertinho da gente, trazendo um gostinho de saudade da terrinha. Logo que pisei lá a primeira vez foi emoção total, receber um sorriso da Carol nao tem preço, ela sim é uma cozinheira de mão cheia, cheia de simpatia e beleza, viu? A energia daquela mulher é contagiante, daquelas que aquece o coração da gente. E quando provei a comida dela, meu santo, foi amor à primeira garfada! Os sabores da Bahia dançam na boca, numa festa gastronômica de temperos e amor. O acarajé, macio por dentro e crocante por fora, com o vatapá cremoso e o camarão suculento, me levaram direto para as ruas de Salvador, sentindo a brisa do mar e o calor do sol. E não posso esquecer da pimenta, viu? Arretada de boa, dá aquele toque especial ao paladar, a Feijoada, mandicoa com linguiça… quero comer tudooooo. A equipe toda é de arrepiar! Sempre sorridentes e atenciosos, prontos para nos servir com aquele jeitinho baiano, que faz a gente se sentir em casa, no meio de amigos de infância. E o local? Perfumado com os aromas da comida, te abraça logo de cara, fazendo a gente se sentir parte da família Acarajé da Carol. Uma experiência gastronômica autêntica e repleta de amor. Só posso dar cinco estrelas com gosto de dendê para esse lugar!
