My Bairro Alto Suites — Hotel in Lisbon

The neighborhood is nice and the apparement is cute and the bed really comfy. The shower is also really good. I was on the 5th floor so all those stairs were exhausting at time. There is a nice terrace on the 5th/6th floor with amazing views and some seating options. I think it's supposed to be closed at night but one night a drunk couple from the 2nd floor went in at night and had an argument there at 3am so impossible to sleep. That door should be locked at night. Taking into consideration all the stairs and the noise from people going to the terrace, I think it's better to stay on floors 1 to 3. Last but not least, we didn't pay that much for this apartment so it's an amazing value for your money. We were there in February so dunno if the prices are as cheap in...

Problem: I had booked this months before and then completely forgot about it as decided not to go. When I was charged two weeks before my stay, I contacted the apartment less than 5 hours after I connected what the transaction was. They refunded 50% but refused to refund the rest when clearly it was a mistake.

I would understand if the request was made 24 hours or more after the charge or if they couldn't find someone else. Since then though, the room has been booked - so they haven't lost business.

I just felt it very unkind. Would not go here nor recommend the inhuman...

Terrible owners. I planned hoidays in Portugal, but I had to cancel my booking due to the fact that Russia attacked Ukraine and I cannot safely leave the country. We have a full blown war, we live with bombing & shootings - with this the owners charged more than €200 for late cancelation!!! And said they will not return this money, i should have travel insurance to reimburse me for that 😲 insurences do not work now, we are defending our lives & country!!!
