Caja - Pasta Fresca e Piadina — Restaurant in Lisbon

Probably first time i give a low review because i don't want more people to waste their time and money. I ordered tortelli with pumpkin - they came in 5 min, very hot.. if you poke it it keeps tge shape, the dough is chewy. I am oretty sure it's pachaged old ones, how you cook them if you bite you see the dough? Besides that, the cheese was pregrated and ramen fron the fridge, not spoiled but definitely not as fresh either... I was very disappoibted but the waiter said i should try parmigiana "because its fresh". I was hungry so I decided to give it a try (bad choice) amd I had my parmigiana in 5 min, I could hear the bell of microwave (how fresh is this?).. I try it: what do you do with eggplant so its chewy? Not a nice structure, the skin is too hard, the cheese on top bubbly and was like a cork around it. Didn't seem fresh or pleasant at all. I really tried to eat more cause I hate wasting food but I couldn't. I told to the waiter they gotta check their good quality but he just said "oh, this other lady liked it".. Well you serve pre-fabricated raw food and besides you lie...

The place itself is like an authentic Italian restaurant but is kind of cold atmosphere inside.

The food it was good but we’ve ordered the melanzana which you could tell that it wasn’t freshly made and that was microwaved, the carbonara it wasn’t so bad but it wasn’t made with guanciale and as the waitress brought the starter all together although we had ordered in separate we’ve ended up eating the carbonara kind of dry, the ragu it was our favourite also with tagliatelle which was fresh pasta and it was really good. The wine it wasn’t bad either. The owner it was extremely friendly and made our experience, the waitresses were also friendly but need...

⁉️ BRIEFLY ⭐⭐ 2 problems the night I went: 1) my pasta was left out probably waiting for my friend's plate a bit too long and ended up cold and all stick together.. Definitely one of the worst restaurant pasta I ever tried. 2) We ordered melanzane alla parmigiana and it ended up being messy and not as flavorful as you'd expect. Prices are relatively accessible and you can end up eating with 15/18€ a full meal!
