First of all, the food and drinks were actually nice — I’ll give them that. But the customer service? Absolutely horrible. The woman with the ponytail and fade had one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. I get that being a waiter is stressful, but that doesn’t give you the right to ruin everyone else’s mood just because you’re having a bad day. We were on holiday, it was our last day, and instead of enjoying it, we had to deal with her nasty attitude. If you hate your job that much, just quit — don’t make customers feel uncomfortable for no reason.
The other workers were way better — respectful, friendly, and professional. Especially the dark-skinned girl — she was patient and kind. The dark-skinned man who I think is the manager was also cool at first and seemed respectful.
But then I found out he was winking and doing hand gestures (“🤙🏾”) at my girlfriend — who’s 16, by the way. Completely unacceptable. She ignored him multiple times because she felt uncomfortable, and that’s disgusting behavior from someone working in a restaurant, especially a manager. I really hope he didn’t mean it like that, because he actually seemed like a cool guy, but even if it was “a joke,” it’s not funny.
So yeah, food was good, but the service and behavior from some staff members were so bad it completely ruined the experience....
Read moreI ordered a cocktail and a beer at this place. First of all, I have to say the location is excellent — you can sit outside and enjoy the sea view. I also want to praise one of the male staff members; he was always smiling and very friendly.
Inside this restaurant-bar, there is also an ice cream shop. Unfortunately, the female staff member working there was extremely rude. Here’s what happened: I wanted to buy an ice cream, so I went over to ask her. She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and told me to place the order at the self-service machine.
Since I wanted to pay in cash, I asked politely if I could buy directly from her. She looked very displeased, rolled her eyes at me again, and impatiently told me to hurry up and say what flavour I wanted. After I told her, she didn’t say a single word — she just stretched out her hand, signaling me to pay quickly. While preparing the ice cream, she made a lot of loud noise, which made me feel very uncomfortable, as if I had done something wrong just by trying to buy ice cream.
I think her attitude seriously affects the restaurant’s image, because apart from her, all the other staff were very nice. The company should not allow such employees to keep damaging its reputation — one person like her is already enough to ruin the impression of the...

Capricciosa Cais do Sodré is located by the river Tagus, offering a nice view, but unfortunately, the exterior could use some attention as it looks a bit dirty and unkempt.
The food is decent, but I’ve had better. I tried the risotto, which I found to be too strong and salty. The spaghetti carbonara was disappointing; it didn’t taste like the authentic dish, with the bacon resembling strips of ham, and the sauce lacking the true carbonara flavor.
The restroom was in extremely poor condition, dirty, and in need of serious maintenance. It’s clear that more attention should be given to cleanliness and the finer details, which seem to be getting worse.
As for the service, my partner and I were greeted by a young staff member who wasn’t very welcoming. Despite our request for a table outside and there being plenty of available tables, he rudely insisted we sit inside. The other waiters were okay, but this initial encounter left a bad impression.
Overall, the Capricciosa location at the Alcântara docks is much better—cleaner, more organized, and with a much nicer atmosphere...
