I went to this place yesterday night and was probably the worst experience I ever had in Lisbon in years. Before our appetisers arrived we waited for 35 minutes. They were OK, honestly compared to other places I have been were bad. The fry was made really bad and the portion you see in the picture was to split into 3 people and what we had compared to the picture they have on their social media is way different. Then the worst part: the mains. I ordered a chicken with spinach and rice with mushrooms: the NOTHING. Literally the only thing that had a taste was the spinach, the rice tasted nothing, and the chicken was still raw inside which is dangerous. My friend ordered fish and also was raw inside. When we asked for the food the waiter (only positive thing of the dinner) told us that they were not expecting “too many people to arrive at the same time” and that’s why the service was delayed, but honestly that’s not my problem as a customer since I book two days before on The Fork AND called before my arrival to the restaurant since we were late to postpone the reservation to 9pm. At the end of the dinner we asked for the bill which came without the -30% on The Fork which I had to claim and remind. Overall I don’t recommend this place at all, atmosphere has been influenced by the experience. I felt bad for the guy that attended us during the night because I felt I...

Stay away from this restaurant.. We arrived at the restaurant at 18:50 (10 minutes before our reservation) and our table was not set yet. One of my friends (the one that booked the table) was also ignored several times by waiters that were passing by while the restaurant was still pretty much empty. After a while, we eventually got a table to seat and asked for some starters and the main dishes. In the meantime, the starters came by but after 2h of waiting and two attempts of asking for our food (around 9 PM) our dishes hadn't arrived yet.. Having said that, we told the room manager that we would like to get the bill and that we will leave since we had another appointment and our reservation time slot was already passed by. After that, they still tried to change our minds saying that other tables were prioritized because they didn't have asked for starters and even asked us if we wanted the food for take-away which is unbelievable.. Not only we came out without eating but we also ended up paying 50€+ only for the starters and drinks that we've asked while we endlessly waited. This restaurant is a classic example of a place with a service that's not up to his price tag or not even close to that. If you don't want to ruin your day, please stay away...

I recently visited Delfina – Cantina Portuguesa during a trip to Lisbon, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the location itself is charming and promises an authentic Portuguese dining experience, the execution fell short in several ways.

Firstly, the food left much to be desired. I ordered a medium-rare dish, but what arrived at the table was extremely rare and undercooked. This level of doneness was unexpected and unappetizing. Additionally, the pork served was overly dry, making it difficult to enjoy. To make matters worse, no condiments such as mustard or other accompaniments were provided to enhance the dish.

Service was another area that needed improvement. The servers seemed inattentive and lacked the attentiveness one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. Despite our issues, we tipped as tourists out of politeness and to avoid making a scene, but the lack of customer care left a sour impression.

Overall, Delfina has potential but needs to work on consistency in food preparation and customer service. As a visitor, I hoped for a memorable meal, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively to improve the dining experience for future...

Wonderful !! That is how I would describe my experience at Delfina-Cantina. We were greeted warmly and the service was exceptional throughout especially by Leonardo. He was extremely patient and very understanding of our choices. The recommendations were the Smoked Ham Pata Negra and the Codfish....both of which set up our appetite well for the main course.....we got the Chefs special duck rice and Mirandela Game sausage with egg spinach and chips..... Absolute culinary heaven. The rice had just the right flavor to blend in with the bacon and duck.... The Game sausage was baked and was crunchy on the outside and just cooked to perfection on the inside....a special show of appreciation to the chef. This was an unexpected 5 star experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon. 5 stars and 5 kisses for the service, ambiance and most importantly the cuisine!

My boyfriend enjoyed his octopus a bit more than I did, I found it quite fatty. But overall the food is nice. However, the average rating is due to the vibe/environment. We sat outside and you’re sat next to a ramp to an underground car park with a loud vent in the ground making a lot of noise. Wasn’t super relaxing. They could do more to make the outdoor seating area more appealing (eg greenery, mists under umbrellas or fans, music). Also, I had contacted them in advance about gluten-free options but they never got back to me, so lost a bit of respect here. Although on the day they were helpful in pointing out dishes I could eat and mentioned cross-contamination so that was reassuring. The sangria here was a bit too sweet but I finished it, and did not contain beer (gluten).

Very good restaurant in the center downtown Lisbon. This restaurant is part of the Alma Lusa Hotel. The food is excellent and the staff is very kind and useful. The prices are ok (average 20€/person) for the quality and quantity you get. Here you can find some traditional Portuguese food in a cosy and modern atmosphere. The wine selection is not wide but you will surely find a good combination for your main dishe. You have an underground parking near by the restaurant (10 mts) or you can go by subway (Terreiro do Paço station or Cais do Sodré station - 350mt and 500 mts walking from the restaurant)
